Neduzze5: The first step in writing is this:

Before you write anything, you must know what genre of literature you want to write. There are three genres of Literature. One is comedy, the second is tragedy and the third is Tragicomedy.

A Comedy is a story which begins happily and ends happily. In comedy, almost all scenes are funny and hilarious. Example is Flow1759 Man Wey Dey Reason.

Tragedy is a genre of literature which begins sorrowfully and ends sorrowfully. Here, scenes or parts in the story are sorrowful and most time calls for tears. I don't have any example for this one right now.

Tragicomedy is one in which the story begins sorrowfully and ends happily. An example is my own debut novel A New Dawn.
