niyisky: I am not concerned about the party, All I want is visionary leadership in my dear southwest. You have to care about party if you witnessed what has happened in southwest in the last 14 years with PDP in charge. PDP is a cancer to the development of Nigeria as a whole. 3 Likes |

To be candid, Lagos and it's leadership SHOULD NOT even be used in a comparison with any non South Western State! Osun State already bests all the South East Ibo states and now it is getting to the point where mentioning Osun State and any SE state will be described in the phraseology of the current Apple CEO, Tim Cooks: "...it's not even close!" This stretch of road ALONE will be better than all the roads in ibo land! |

@OP. I hope you know this is part of this bigger 30km Gbongan/Akoda expressway project I mentioned here a few days ago to develop an ecnomically importand corridor: http://www.osundefender.org/?p=103546 Gbongan/Akoda ExpressWay: Osun’s Economic Beehive 2 Likes |

To be honest, it is not about competition. I think we need to look at the big picture and wish every Nigerian State well because an Oasis in a desert will be where everyone will inordinately concentrate and overburden. If anything, I hope the hard-work of all these ACN Governors will convince more States to boot out the indolent PDP in 2015. Our entire nation needs inspired individuals who will bring progress to every corner of Nigeria. The SW is now fully vindicated for booting out the "nest of killers" i.e the PDP. 6 Likes |

One thing that impresses me here is the openness. Major verifiable information about this project ie. time, cost, features have been made public already.
Unlike our PDP friends that have been constructing Abuja/Lokoja road since 1999 with no end in sight. Worse still, you never will know how much has been spent or how how much will be spent. 5 Likes |

Akanbi_edu: One thing that impresses me here is the openness. Major verifiable information about this project ie. time, cost, features have been made public already. My brother, this is verification of what I have always emphasised to any Nigerian contemplating casting their vote. There are hardly many saints in Nigerian politics but the electorate must look at the history and record of candidates. A man who has a history of delivering will likely continue to do so when elected to office to the benefit of the electorate. Whereas a mediocrity with no history of achievement will carry his incompetence into elected office. The big difference is that many lives will be ruined needlessly. Whatever ACN has going on, they generally embrace achievers and folks who deliver results. The end result of that ideology is what we are seeing now. Simple as that. 3 Likes |

@ Madam-oringo I hail from Osun State and would be delighted if this project is completed as described. However, it really isn't about competition, I am overjoyed whenever I hear positive news from ANY part of Nigeria. For example, I pray for the Geometric power station in Aba to become a reality, as it will boost the economy of the South East in particular and Nigeria in general. Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!! 3 Likes |

very good development. I am pleased. However, although it is a commendable effort to have intra-state road networks, it is time for the Yoruba states to start looking towards inter state rail networks which would enable convenient mobility for work and trade for the the inhabitants of the region. Let us start to look at rails now and not ignore other infrastructures too. We now require revenue generating initiatives. All in all, I rate Aregbe very highly indeed. He is clearly a man with a vision and clearly passionate about the people of Osun. |
