To use your iPhone as a modem to surf on your PC or Mac just activate "tethering" on your iPhone so it can share its Internet connection with another device like your computer via USB or Bluetooth. How?... •In your iPhone's menu, click Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network. •Ensure that the correct network data address is typed in the APN field. •Now go to Settings > General > Network > Internet tethering •Activate connection sharing by turning on Tethering on your iPhone which means that you can share your Internet connection via USB or Bluetooth. •If you wish to connect the devices via USB: Connect the iPhone to the computer. It should detect the internet sharing automatically and you can start browsing using your favorite browser. •If you wish to connect the devices via Bluetooth: Activate Bluetooth on your iPhone (Settings > General > Bluetooth). •Your iPhone will now search for other Bluetooth devices within range. Ensure that you'd activated Bluetooth on your computer by using Bluetooth Manager (PC) or Bluetooth Setup Assistant (Mac). Your computer will now automatically search for other Bluetooth devices within range. Select your iPhone in the list of Bluetooth devices found by your computer. •Enter the required code (default 0000) to connect your computer and iPhone via Bluetooth. Next, select your computer in the list of Bluetooth devices found by your iPhone. Enter your secret code and click the Connect button. A connection will be established and the peripheral drivers will be installed. Your computer will automatically start the Internet connection. support.en.belgacom.be |

Variety is the spice of life... The person you're selling it to is not going to use it as a remote control... (s)He might also need the information. Moreover, I have an android phone and Bluetooth connectivity is virtually thesame procedure across board for security reasons. These procedures are basic really. |

What about sharing internet through wifi, bluetooth will be slow as hell |

Tested via USB and bluetooth with iPhone connected with Airtel on 3G ... Fast as flash on the PC. |

You can connect your iPhone to the internet via a wifi hotspot but you can only use the iphone's wifi internet connection on your PC via Bluetooth or USB. those are the options available on mine  |
