You are a true son of your father. It is true that there is nothing like pure and impure Igbo but many people have refused to accept that. Many historians made the mistake of ascribing what is found in one Igbo area as the general Igbo trait without bearing in mind our diversity. With that as a parameter, they concluded that anything different from there prototype Igbo was borrowed. "Antivirus" is making same mistakes.
i don-t support real and fake igbos. what gets me mad is the behaviour of u and ur company. we have been fighting this diversity of a thing but even uptil now u still hold onto it. u think that leaving it will make some people ur lords. absolutely there is nothing like diversity in igbo world.

pazienza: Why can't you guys down south take this same disposition?

Asking that question is like asking why Yoruba had a monarchy but Igbo never developed centralization. It just brings me back to what I've been saying all this time about context.

If we assume that all our group identities are simply the result of proximity, why then do we find it difficult to equate the societies of say, Idemili and Awka with that of Ngwa and Etche? In your words, why can't us guys down south take the same disposition as you all up north? It's the context.

Something in the context of these groups' development makes them incomparable, and attempting to qualify all of these culture groups as identities that evolved just because of proximity is an oversimplification that many won't agree to. They will not see it as applicable to themselves, because to them, the development of their society is not as arbitrary as you want them to believe. This discussion that we're having and responses witnessed in this topic alone are so far a case-in-point of that.

Oh! I see where you are coming from.

The notion that Nri is the purest and head in igboland is an assessment made by outsiders(white folks) who never even took time to research about the origin of various igbo towns, this notion is one that most nri people have taken to heart, cos it suits us,but naturally, you guys down south have come to reject that notion, cos it makes you guys second best.

This nri supremacy was never based on thorough study of all igbo groups,it is anti-igbo unity, and must be dropped by all true nri persons.

We must do away with all these colonial histories which our so called intellectuals had come to perpetuate in the typical house nigga fashion of maintaining the white man notions.

We must begin to research on igbo history with unbiased mind and with no pre conception, only then can we stand a chance of regaining our lost history, that would help us find where we all began this to and fro migration around igboland and who we were before those migrations.

This is my personal stance on this matter, and i owe no one any apology for it.

If Nri is actually the head and purest of igbo, then our goal should be uniting all igbo speaking people, and since propagating this notion that we are pure and bla bla bla,is exactly anti igbo unity, then it must be dropped ASAP.

No, that's not why. We reject it because it completely neglects our traditions which do not in any way recognize Nri. Anyway, I get what you're saying, and I like your personal stance on the matter. Although, I don't necessarily agree with how you've come to interpret some things.
