Okorocha advises Abia indigenes to dump PDP for APC

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has advised Abia State indigenes to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the yet-to-be registered All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2015 general elections.

Okorocha, who spoke yesterday when a delegation under the platform of Igbo Rescue Mission from Abia State paid him a visit at the Government House in Owerri, described APC as a child of circumstance arising from the failure of the PDPled Federal Government to deliver quality and good governance to Nigerians.

He said: “The new party, which represents a coalition of major opposition parties in Nigeria, is now being positioned to provide the credible and acceptable platform that will enthrone the leadership Nigerians desire in 2015.”

The governor decried the alleged marginalisation of the South-East by the ruling PDP, pointing out that the party had continually denied Ndigbo the five principal positions, which he listed as the office of the President, Vice-President, Senate President, Speaker House of the Representatives and chairmanship of the party.

Okorocha, however, urged Ndigbo to engage in politics that would guarantee them national relevance.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the group, Chief Ben Udensi, and Publicity Secretary, Mr. Ebere Uzoukwa, said that they were at the Government House to demonstrate support and solidarity to the governor for his vision and leadership qualities.

They also praised the governor for providing robust good governance to the people.

Okorocha, just tell them that Orji is a big clown who for 8 years protected the loot of former and current state officials after swearing at Okija shrine.

What's the guarantee that PDP will select a better replacement. it's most likely Orji will anoint a candidate who will go on to win. I'm supporting any candidate from any party that can deliver. Be it PDP, APC, APGA etc.

Onyegecha: Abians will do well to find credible people as leaders. They should stop wishing for Okorocha as governor because they will begin to cry within the first month he mounts the saddle. ROCHAS CANNOT EVEN SELL APC in Imo state. T. A Orji may not be performing wonders but at least he is not destroying the systems he met like Okorocha is doing in Imo. [b]In the final analysis, Orji may be a better devil than our smooth talking governor.[b]

pc285: If APC comes into play, am seeing it take over Imo and Abia then Anambara states for sure while Eboyi will be in contention due to Pius Anyim but the party may not have much in Enugu where governor Chime has done will. Also the current problem in Rivers state if not controlled may pave way for APC to capture the oil rich city.
