i was just thinking to myself when watching the news today about the relevance of the Nigerian governors forum in our country. It seems to me that the forum has become a nuisance to the country with all the scandals and irregularities going on in it. What do you think? Is the body really needed for good governance in our nation?

Yeah,that's the problem GEJ is causing,but really its of no use. What good has the Forum brought to the people. Rather they use this to divert their responsibilities as Governor. Fighting useless wars while the people suffer

disbanded for any reasn

The forum is of no use to the masses who elected them. They are there for their own selfish interest. It is there they share national appointments and cakes. Remember it was there they all agreed to remove fuel subsidy.

The forum should not be touched.. Lets enjoy how the Govs, PDP and GEJ will continue to embarrass themselves in full public glare...

If it should b ban,it should b 4 d right reasons,not because Gej candidate didn't win.he is not a governor,so y is he meddling in their affair? Is it 4 good of Nigerians? Or for his selfish interest? I think we should ask. Our selves this question,rather than always following d band wagon.

The Forum is a useful tool for peer review. However, political interest and avarice appear to have rendered it redundant; thereby questioning the whole essence of its existence. The Governors' Forum should be redirected to a viable course, and not scrapped.

Please take note that every President and vice president of this country since 1999 outside Obj was a governor. Atiku was an elected governor before he became VP, Yaradua was a governor, Jonathan was a governor, Sambo was a governor. Thus, Governors are the biggest problem Nigeria has and yes it is a good idea to scrap the shit out.

Though d body is legal n constitutional I support there abolition.its just like having another fedral executive council but without a president n come to think of it d funds spend in running the organization when gov r complaining of under funding.

i laugh when people cite NGF as a useful tool for peer review, when in the real sense of it these guys are the cabal that holds the presidency to randsom most times. From the days of ECAs, to the most recent subsidy. The only peer influence these guys give themselves are how to fight political battles & perpetuate themselves in power, absolutely nothing about the masses are ever discussed in their meetings. Ever wondered why most of them send their deputies to these meetings & only get to attend when it concerns their political survival? They have freedom of association so it shouldnt be banned, but as like such useless associations, it'll self destruct in no distant time.
