Tell Me About Your Culture? What Do We Have In Common? by Naima00: 10:25pm On Jun 26, 2013
I see far too many threads focusing on the differences between us and not enough celebrating our similarities. Let's start with the basic, cultural dance or folk dancing. This is something I love and I am passionate about. I'm not sure how many different nationalities there are here but let's all show case our heritage and see the similarities which I am sure there. Here are some from my end that I found on you tube now show me some of yours. Also I think alot here have warped ideas about Somali people and what they look like. We are different and don't all look like the picks that have been posted. It's africa afterall tell me what you think...

This is a dance mainly performed in celebration like weddings or or other functions all over Somalia.(excuse the old footage)

This is from Djibouti

This is a southern Somali dance typically performed at a wedding

somalia10: Naima, i cant believe you have not introduced yourself to me. cry

We have nothing in common, they eat fufu and speak boonka boonka and are submissive

we are somali and nomads.
I have no interest in introducing myself to someone like you. You are a disgrace to all somaali's. Please don't post in my threads thank you,.

somalia10: Has the somali government chosen you as the ambasador to the fufu nation?

I have been sent by alshabaaab cheesy i come with terror

I thought you had left this forum for good? I know your life will be so boring without we the fufu-eating people that is why you keep coming back with new ID monikers. I have told you not to skip your medication but you have refused to listen. Why Somali10? Why are you so stubborn like a stubborn castrated He-goat?

I told you that you add nothing meaningful to this forum. All you do is create threads that will incite hate. You told us you are not black so leave this Nigerian forum alone and go and mingle with your own people. Is that too much to ask or is English such a difficult language for you to comprehend?

*Men, I need to stop wasting my time with this psychopath!*

This thread will not be derailed by ignoramus and I request that anyone who is posting here post regarding the subject of the thread. I think this young man has been given enough attention to last him a lifetime but will not be given anymore here. Thank you.

Re: Tell Me About Your Culture? What Do We Have In Common? by tpia5: 3:26pm On Jun 27, 2013
All this running around looking for commonalities, is what keeps nigerians from making any significant progress.

And arent there enough threads already.

So finding common ground between our cultures holds back nigerians?! in what way exactly?
Also I have seen threads talking about bringing nigerians of different culture and tribes together but none with East Africa and west Africa, if there are I'd like you to point me in the right direction please
