loool, i live in ibadan, bodija area to be precise and we hardly enjoy 3hrs of electricity in a day. some days we don't even see a flash! i don't know shit about what you guys are claiming here but i know one thing for sure, electricity ain't stable yet, and if it ain't generally stable in all parts of the country on national grid, then y'all need to quit the blabbing about improved power supply.

There is improvement, call your local Distribution Agents to check your transformer

ninja4life: wow dats bad o,do u know d cause of d problem,it might be ur area's transformer has problem or something dat can be taken care of.kilode lai sepe ikan ninu yin gba iyawo oga nepa.lol

Thanks for your concern...
But i have since moved past PHCN and my generators have been sold off, even if I do not get public power for 5years, I wouldn't bother. The nearest transformer to my home is about 1 or 2km away and PHCN wants my community to buy a transformer that will become their property once it is powered with crazy bills and fixed charges to follow.
My power now comes from the dawning of every new day...it's real peace of mind!!!

It used to be like this for us too until they decided to be shedding the light, if they weren't doing that, power would have been like 24 or 22hrs stable.

Don't be stupid please. Do you think improvement will happen at the very same moment. Typical Nigerian mentality, always complaining.

You sabi correct soup wey nor cost
Person wey tell you sey awuf nor get bone just dey lie you because later when the awuf go chook you for bad place you go hear wen.
How much fuel do you think you would buy to have a generator provided electricity for the same hours daily as PHCN is giving you COMPARED to the N750 service charge plus monthly usage

Let us learn to be RESPONSIBLE citizens by paying our PHCN bills promptly to ensure continuously improving electricity. You cannot get something out of nothing!!!

For about 2weeks now. we've had atleast 18hours light in my area.
I m laffing like a PHCN staff!
Create another thread in 6months time & let's see if the power is still constant. The power stability in some areas presently is ephemeral. Due to the abundance of rainfall this season, it's normal for dams to v plenty water to provide electricity.
ninja4life:
Note:am not supporting any apc or pdp cos they are all the same to me, thieving bastards i only want to know how power supply is in other area before i get addicted to this constant power supply which may affect me when nepa disappoints.
thanks
I m glad you cleared this. Before people take you for a GEJ/PDP supporter.
Last Bullet:
On this Nairaland, some people ll take you for GEJ/PDP supporter if you speak of developments in the country & APC supporter if you criticize GEJ/PDPs.

Did the water level not go up last year, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008 etc
Was it not last year that we had flooding in some parts of the Middle Belt?

When will we learn to make REASONABLE comparisons and draw PLAUSIBLE conclusions for greater progress

I can categorically tell you that Kogi state has the best electricity in Nigeria.

Move from Lokoja - Okene - Kabba...

and you'll hardly see people buying or selling generators.

The situation has been like this for the past 2 to 3 years.

Though, I'm not sure the situation is the same in all parts of Kogi state...

But for the records, I've never spent a day in Kogi state without atleast 12hours of power for the past 10years. Most times, its between 20hours - 24hours

For my area for auchi 12 to 18 hours per day.

But my only problem with them is when others are 750 for meter maintenance the one at auchi is collecting 1000 which is very bad.
