Overhaul is to take the interior apart and repair it.

I know he pimps classic cars and can get the job done. But speak to your mechanic he will know a mechanic tailor that can sew new chair seats and the likes. There are other people who can do it here on nairaland I advice you open a fresh thread in cartalk and they will contact you

Hello guys please I have a Toyota Camry 2.2 that started guzzling petrol recently..I've checked the injector they said it's fine...I've just recently worked on d catalyst too...still d problem persists...I just remembered d coolant is no more..as in it drained entirely and I filled it with water.....some months back pending when I have time to check it and forgot...could that've been d issue all along??...thanks

when they checked it it was gone entirely so d mechanic replaced it with a work around..

He didn't actually repair it...he called an auto guy (panel beater) who had a supposed work around they buy some stuff and construct it locally...I seriously didn't see this done as i was in d office...I allowed it because since d catalyst wasn't there when they opened it, that means I was driving d car for years without it..

nah They killed you right there, there is nothing like construction, what you need do is to go the spare market and buy a cat conv that is meant for your own car simple.Inside the cat conv there are special alloys which convert the exhaust gas into un harmful gases.

hello guys, please i need your views or ideas and advice on an issue with my car. i have a Honda Accord 1993 (Honda Hala) and it is a very nice car that speeds like a jet.

The issue that is giving me serious concern about the car is this; if i don't drive the car for about 2 days, on the third day when i start the engine, it will be bringing out blue smoke so much. but once i start driving it, the smoke will reduce and it will finally stop within 1 minute. For the rest of the day you wont believe that the car has smoked earlier as the smoke will disappear, the exhaust pipe may even be dripping water especially if it is morning or the weather is cold.

Please what could be the problem? I want to know exactly what the problem is. I don't believe the engine is gone because the car performs very efficiently and does not even consume oil abnormally.

blue smoke sometimes means oil in cylinders so why should there be oil in there ?This is what need checking .

Probably check the piston rings, valve seals. In addition, hope you're using multigrades' engine oil and not single grade?

Water pump
Air trapped.
water is not circulating, if your water pump fails that will happen.

In addition, 1. check the thermostat if is stuck. You can check that by putting the thermostat in boiling water...if it opens then is fine.
2. Check for leaking hoses / radiator leaks
3. Wash the radiator if you can...open the radiator drain line to wash/rinse etc.
4. Be sure the fan is working as it should.
5. If the above does not work + the previous suggestions then the top gasket might've been affected. Hope it helps

When I move everything ing is normal.

no it can't cause it,your car air conditioning has leakage.that is why it isn't cooling like before.how long did the gas last,and what kind of car is it.
