He Is Charging Me $350! Webmasters Is This Ok?

Hello guys,

This webmaster is charging me $350.

All I want is simple but elegant website with no application install on it.

Now, he mentioned he is going to use Wordpress to design the site.

Thatz where I became worried. I don't know much about wordpress, but is it not all these their free templete used as screensaver/desktop background?

If yes, do u think paying N56k for this is not too much? Having it in mind I have my domain registered and will pay my hosting with hostGator myself.

Need your input asap plz.

Besides 350 is not too low and not too high, its all about what u guys reached.

No it is not a scam site. Its about forex trading. I trade for people and I want them to be able to open their account on my site so i can manage for them, signal etc..

This site is the huge version of what i want, i only need some few pages but as elegant as this.

Stop being stingy. Cnn's blog is on wordpress too. Do you know how much the developer could have charged?
You want a full time forex site with many features. That is a fair charge. Simply make sure he is proficient else you'll be jumping from one web developer to another. The price is fair enough. Try see what ur negotiation could do.

IMHO, he is doing you a favor. For any CMS, I charge more than double what you are paying for...even with a free template. Customization no be beans. I don't even charge $350 for a regular website.

Wordpress site on Evanto.com range from between $50 - $150, depending on the designer, quality of design etc. However, when u buy it, you need to customize it, so that your website won't look exactly the same like that of others who bought the same template and ofcourse, customized to perform the functionality you want it to perform. If he is going to buy modules and pluggins to do that, then it may not really be high. Some of these modules/pluggin go for as high as $150.

WordPress is a powerful tool to build website. i think $350 is even too cheap. Over here in the states they charge per hour and u also have to pay for their idea on how to put what where in the website if nothing is coming from you, plus u pay for pictures and logo's so u don't get the suing of ur life. You should also think about the long term goal do u want him to manage and maintain the site then u guys can negotiate. Am sure you will make more than $350 from the Forex business. Building website is not that easy plus u want to make it look professional. If he/she wants it now then he can pay professional webmasters, watching it from YouTube is like saying oh if u want to build a hus go watch it on youtube so u can build it urself and spend less. What is worth doing is worth doing well

And yes, its true. I have tried the US guys a while back, was asking one if he can program my trading system to an EA and he wanted to charge per hour too. I use a complex strategy and I dont even think he can be done in 10 hours! So, I just look somewhere else. I love having control of my own site, so i registered the domain myself and i will be doing the hosting registration too. Thanks for this idea too.

Watching youtube and building it myself is a no no o.. There is no way it ll look as professional as I want.


The website will just collect info. Name, email, gsm etc as they will need to fill simple form which will be sent to d assigned email.

$350 is a fair price for what you are looking for. I charge almost the same amount for websites with few functions. I use wordpress very well, it's a very powerful CMS. I can give you some of d sites I designed with wordpress if u can PM me.

Men...guy go pay the money ....that's a give away price and those of u that just talk pls leave to the professionals what's $150 for a site!!! that site minimum to design should be abt a $1000 and its not all about programming the creativity and ideas behind customisation of even free templates are not easy. So don't write off any part of the design process
