sounds more like what i had in mind, prizes should be continual i.e. at specified intervals monthly or weekly as the case may be.
nice input
jackbauersballs:

What we do at my office is pay 50 quid (10 of us) for the entire season

Manager of the month gets 20 quid(based on points accrued over a four week period),Manager of the year gets 100 quid,2nd gets 70 quid and 3rd gets his stake back.

The beauty of this system is that it encourages people to fight on, even when there are obvious leaders...You dont have to be top dog to win manager of the month

We did the Yahoo FPL though...more competetive

its really a good idea, but for a gambler like me, i ll prefer a format where we dont all have to wait till the end of the season before the prize is given out. we have 38 weeks to run. the proceeds from the collective stake can be divided into 38 whereby every week, a winner goes home with the stake for dat week. the winner will be' he who has the highest point for the week ' my opinion though
That weekly no go make sense bro! E go spoil the money! Let's do it monthly and overall as it adds more swag and prestige to it

I agree with jack bauers office system

Not a bad idea at all. It would make the whole thing more interesting but I can't wait till the end of the season, there should be some prizes announced at the end of each month.

dare2think: Hey Chamo,

Can I have the codes pls. Plus the cup codes.

Regarding the monetary league I discussed with you earlier, I figures we ask folk first if they would be interested (I'm sure most will) and move from there.

1. I feel entrance fee should be in the region of £10- £20 (N2500- N5000)
2. Money sent to you and kept in a Trust with two respectable nairalanders in charge.
3. Winner takes 80% of the total and admin should take 20% for their troubles
4. Monetary prizes makes it more interesting!

Let me know if you think its a good idea.

Codes sent.
In regards to the betting...I'll need to set up another thread for that so as not to derail this and get people's opinion.
Will do that soon.

The idea of taking Asspekuliar's/Ibime's money at the end of the season intrigues me. . .

P.S. How did ninjas like Debosky and Mykali get into the FA Cup?

There should've been a protocol established since last season instead of all this padi padi cheesy

Top Ten[at least] in the main league should always be guaranteed a place along with the trophy winners.

You do make a point! That FA cup should be for competitive players not ninjas that would choose a team and leave it on auto-pilot. I think guys like azpekuliar have earned their stripes already

Where is Chamo? With 3 weeks to go make we know those people wey go dey the league wey we been suggest

Finally, goons with some iota of sense! There you should be a relegation style format to help weed out underperforming Managers/teams. In all fairness, the top thirty from the main league deserves a shot at it too grin This should help curb the padi padi format we've been subjected to cheesy
