Ok, i can see that your machine stich adjuster is not properly set to the max. Try loose the nut beside that adjuster and press the adjuster lever down then try the stich.

@ Ehonda pls I have an old butterfly machine. The problem is that it cannot sew anything thick like if u fold material to hem it. It cuts instantly and if it will sew, it is not tight. Need your help.thank you.

As a beginner you need a domestic machine, you can buy the black butterfly machine it's about 16-18k but it sew only straight stitches, or you can buy the zigzag machine it's about 40-50k for brand new butterfly or brother are trusted brand. @ehonda can give you more details about machines.

You can get patterns online, it's either you buy online and then print it out and join together, or you order and buy a magazine that has patterns in it I.e burda or kwiksew which is so much easier.
