Arsenal have announced a new deal with Sterling Bank to issue co-branded debit cards in Nigeria.

Speaking to Arsenal Player, Vinai Venkatesham, head of global partnerships at Arsenal says the partnership would build a strong and succesful relationship with Arsenal fans in Nigeria.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Sterling Bank, a highly respected financial establishment, to offer Arsenal branded debit cards to our millions of fans in Nigeria. We look forward to building a strong and successful relationship in the years to come.”

The deal would be for three years and would be the first financial agreement Arsenal would have with a Nigerian firm. The debit card would offer a range of incentives and Arsenal-related benefits including match tickets and official merchandise.

Chief financial officer of Sterling Bank Plc, Abubakar Suleiman says the deal with Arseal would show the bank’s commitment and drive.
