That video was from circa 1983, after we had lost our way. They were trying to form a "progressives coalition" to fight Shehu Shagari's NPN.

mr_king: mind you! He was just a mere ceremonial president! He had no Executive Powers! His impact as †ђξ president was not felt! Coz he was just a representative of †ђξ queen. Tafawa Balewa was †ђξ man incharge as †ђξ prime Minister!

I doubt if you could comprehend real facts when you read, it would have been proper to show you the road to library. You are one despicable reason Nigeria is hopelessly behind everything in human nature

naptu2: What powers did the President posses? That question was the cause of the January 1965 constitutional crisis, in which President Azikiwe refused to call on Tafawa Balewa to form the next government and ordered the armed forces to enforce his orders throughout the federation, by virtue of the fact that he was the Commander in Chief.

Even you also towed the line of childish innuendos and falsehood perpetrated by hacks. There was no constitutional crisis in January of 1965 in Nigeria. The issue was the conduct of 1964 census which led to political crisis during the polls towards the end of the year.

Nnamdi Azikiwe influenced and encouraged Kwame Nkrumah to study in Lincoln University in USA. Just read the chapter one of the book tithle Kweme Nkrumah: The Great African By Woeli Dekutsey. One person who also influenced Kwame Nkrumah in his plans to study in the USA was a Nigerian who was practising journalism in the Gold Coast( Ghana). His name was Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe. Nnamdi Azikiwe, the seasoned journalist had been educated at Lincoln University in America. He had come back from his studies in the USA and was regularly writing for a newspaper, The African Morning Post, in the Gold Coast( Ghana). His powerful articles attacked colonial rule and encouraged Africans to sharks off the colonial mentality and spare no efforts in fighting for self- determination or independence. Following the encouragement of Dr. Azikiwe, Kwame Nkrumah applied to Lincoln University in USA. When the good news came that he had secured admission. Kwame Nkrumah was still teaching at Amissano, not too far from Elimina. But, unfortunately for him, he did not have enough money to pay his fare to America. He therefore decided to stow away in a ship at Takoradi harbour to travel to his uncle, H.K. Biney at Apapa wharf in Lagos, to seek his help. He succeeded in hiding in the boiler room of the ship. In spite of the heat and the inconvenience, Kwame Nkrumah remained undetected until the ship docked in Lagos and he managed to sneak away.

fr3do: I heard he knew how to speak yoruba and hausa.

That is not correct: He was not just fluent but also, so versed in both languages.

Benjamin Nnamdi Azikiwe was born in November 16, 1904 in Zungeru (capital of the British protectorate of Northern Nigeria from 1902 until 1916. It is the site of the Niger State Polytechnic and is located on the Kaduna River).

Usually referred to as Nnamdi Azikiwe and popularly known as "Zik Of Africa", he was one of the leading figures of modern Nigerian nationalism. He was head of state of Nigeria from 1960 to 1966, serving as the second and last Governor-General from 1960 to 1963 and the first President of Nigeria from 1963 to 1966, holding the presidency throughout the Nigerian First Republic.

He studied at Hope Waddell Training Institute, Calabar, and Methodist Boys' High School Lagos and went to the United States where he attended Howard University, Washington DC, before enrolling and graduating from Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, in 1930. He obtained a masters degree in Political Science from University of Pennsylvania in 1933 and another masters degree in Anthropology from Columbia University in 1934.

He worked as an instructor at Lincoln before returning to Nigeria.

Azikiwe was actively involved in sports at every stage of his life, and he was successful in many of the events that he participated in. They include Welterweight Boxing Champion Storer College (1925–27); High Jump champion, Howard University Inter-Scholastic Games (1926); Gold Medalist in Cross Country, Storer College (1927); Back-stroke Swimming Champion and No. 3 swimmer in Freestyle Relay team, Howard University (1928); Captain, Lincoln University Soccer Team (1930); Winner Two Miles Run, Central Inter-Collegiate Athletic Association Championships at Hampton Institute Virginia (1931); Bronze Medalist, Richmond Cross Country Marathon (1931); Gold Medalist in the 1,000 yard run, One Mile Run and Three Mile Run, Catedonian Games in Brooklyn, NY (1932); Silver Trophy winner in the Half Mile race, and Silver Cup winner in the One Mile Race, Democratic Field Day Championships, New Haven, Connecticut (1933); Runner-up (with G.K. Dorgu) at the Lagos Tennis Men’s Double Championships (Division B 1938); anchor man for the ZAC team which won the 50 yards Freestyle Relay at the Lagos Swimming Championships (1939).

He won letters in athletics (Lincoln University) and cross country (Storer College and Lincoln University), swimming (Howard University), and football (soccer) (Lincoln University); entered to compete in the Half-Mile Race and One-Mile run at the British Empire Games to represent Nigeria, but was rejected by the A.A.A. of Great Britain on technical grounds (he dropped his English Christian name, “Benjamin”); and founded (with M. R. B. Ottun) of the Zik’s Athletic Club to promote athletics, boxing, cricket, football, swimming and tennis in Nigeria...

He died in May 11, 1996 at age of 92.

The Nnamdi Azikwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, has won the regional American Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG)’s Imperial Barrel Award (IBA), held in Lagos State, from 14 to15 March, 2013. The University won the regional/African finals, with 79.33% and qualified to represent Africa at the final competition to be held at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, from 17 to 18 May, 2013. Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt, came second, with 78.75% and the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), third, with 78.33%. The AAPG’s IBA programme, which is aimed at promoting Petroleum Geosciences training and advancing the careers of students in the field, is an annual prospective basin/prospect evaluation competition for geoscience graduates. It features six universities, from different continents, converging in the United States of America to vie for the global and prestigious award, which includes grants for their department and international recognition for the institution.

The competition requires that university teams analyse and interpret multiple dataset (seismic data, well logs, formation tops, well reports and literatures) from selected basins around the world. Each team delivers its results in a 25-minute presentation to a panel of industry Prof. Effiong Enobong Vice-Chancellor, CRUTECH experts. Students have the chance to use state-of-the-art technology on real dataset, receive feedback from the industry panel, impress potential employers in the audience and win cash awards for their schools. The winning team is selected on the basis of technical quality, clarity and originality of presentation.

The UNIZIK team comprised four students: Ahaneku Chibuzo, Ezidiegwu Chinelo, Okoli Nnaemeka and Oguadinma Vivian, as well as Mentor/Faculty Adviser I, Dr. Benard Odoh and Faculty Adviser II, Ms. Nkechi Egboka.

Because then the Igbo wouldn't get to cry discrimination all the time, and we all know they love to cry discrimination as much as they like to make ridiculous claims (like being Jewish, or contributing 600 trillion to the economy when our entire GDP is only around 40 trillion).

It would also ruin the lie that everyone hates them. They love to tell themselves that lie. If they find out that Hausas and Yoruba voted for an Igbo president, their heads will explode.

They don't even want to be a part of the same country as the rest of us, so what can you tell them?

You think that Igbos are just claiming Jewish ancestry; what about Jews claiming that Igbos are Jews?
