israel007: Just let them die by the sword they have been living. El difitri ni, prayers koo!

Why did they allow those Lebanese in the first place. Nigerians will never carve a niche for ourselves and to be respected!

Why not just take your sword there and eliminate them? You bloody Slave of Israel.

Bliss4Lyfe: A terrorist is a terrorist whether light skinned or dark skinned is inconsequential.

Too bad Nigerians suffer from inferiority complex.
This is not inferiority complex but religious biogotry and gullibility, until we separate religion from our politics/ policy this kind of mess will continue bcs we atach religious sentiment to everytning, even our most sentitive national issues. And i wonder why those foreigners who came to kill nigerians will be given such preferences.

this is another example of misinformation by the press.they title a story wrongly to stir sentiments and cause drama.and the OP who started this thread also dishonestly only posted the top part of the report and left the remaining part.please read from the link the OP presented what is written by Punch newspaper:

"When contacted, the Prisons Public Relations Officer, Ope Fatinikun, claimed that the protest had nothing to do with the Lebanese inmates.

He added that it was caused by two groups struggling to use a particular place for the Eid-fitri worship.

“I don’t want to give anybody names, but the incident was caused by two groups (of inmates) who wanted to use a particular place for their prayers; but the situation has been brought under control. We talked to them and they saw reason with us, “he said.

IF THE "PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT" IS NOT THE CAUSE OF THE RIOT,THEN WHY HEADLINE IT AS SUCH? IN OTHER COUNTRIES SUCH REPORTING THAT IS UNPROFESSIONAL CAN GET LAW SUITS FILED AGAINST THE NEWSPAPER.

besides, those suspects are not yet found guilty and they hold Nigerian passports.they are citizens of Nigeria.it was a shame that last week we read that the MOSSAD agents (who are infamous for ethnic-cleansing and bulldozing houses of Palestinians, and extra-judicial killings making Israel a terrorist regime and the MOSSAD terrorist agents) were in Nigeria interrogating Nigerian passport holders, and it was not done in the presence of Nigerian security officials.that is a blatant violation of Nigeria's sovereignty and the right of Nigerian citizens.this report is more or less an attempt to cover up and stir sentiments.this is garbage journalism by Punch Newspaper and whichever newspaper is making such unprofessional reports for whatever reason, excuse or motive.

No, it is you who is a racist, these men in question, irrespective of skin colour are rich and influential men. It is well known fact that such rich and influential men are always accorded special treatment in prison. If you doubt me ask Bode George or Ai Mustapha, its all about egunje for the poor prison warders and you would be treated like a lord. Now this is not peculiar to Nigerian prisons, we all heard when a black prisoner in a US prison serially impregnated female prison warders! I don't know if its inferiority complex that is making us jump to such illogical statements. Na wao!

@Post

Most Nigerians suffer from inferiority complex. I wonder where our people got that from when we never suffered apartheid or racial segregation and oppression like the black Americans and south Africans did. Its really a shame considering that we get treated like crap overseas. I for one can never show preferential treatment to a foreigner living in Nigeria because I know exactly what I face whilst living overseas. Funnily enough, the people that we Nigerians are giving this preferential treatment will never reciprocate the gesture should our people reside in their countries. In fact, many of our people are big mumus. Keep 'worshiping' mere mortals like you who don't give a darn about your existence.

The Lebanese prisoners – Mustapha Fawaz, Abdallah Thahani and Talal Ahmed Rodo – believed to be members of an international terrorist group, Hezbollah, were said to have been allowed to use a particular area of the prison ground for the Eid-fitri prayers while other inmates, including Boko Haram suspects, were restricted to another place.

Abegi, what was VIP treatment in that??

Those Lebanese guys requested for separate praying place and they were given. Even in nigeria there are some prayer ground usually used by some different Islamic groups for Eid-fitri prayers.

The protest was probably engineered by the government.

It is not about complex, it is about corruption. These men are rich and connecting, bribe is the order of the day in nigeria.

Besides I am sure these men in prison are not in the business alone, there are some highly placed Nigerians who must have been working with them.

A foriegner cannot jst wake up and decide to start importing arms into Nigeria, without having a nigerian contact.

If not that this a case of intenational terrorism, and it has been publicized, these men would have been freed long ago.

Shame to the controller of prison there who choose to give special treatment to a foreign Lebanese terrorist in a Nigerian prison. The Lebanese are not good for any economy, they kill every economy because they bribe their ways through every government to have grip to get a blank cheque. They do not deserve any hospitality in Nigeria because you will not get it too same in Lebanon.I suggest the thick headed controller of prison should be allowed to visit prisons where Nigerians a held in Lebanon to see how they are treated.
