Nigerian striker, Imoh Ezekiel is up and running for the season in Belgium as he scored his first league goal for Standard Liege on Sunday.

The Nigerian gave Standard an early lead in Sunday’s 2-0 win at Genk following a brilliant assist by Jelle Van Damme who flicked on Laurent Simon’s 50-yard pass with a deft header.

[b]Imoh’s goal arrived after just 10 seconds [/b]as he side-footed in acrobatic fashion past the Genk keeper, Laszlo Koteles following the swift attack of the visitors.

The win means Standard have now won their first three games of the season and now sit at the top of the Jupiler Pro League table with nine points and a goals difference of plus seven.

Imoh, who has played in 257 minutes of Standard Liege’s three games this season, scored 16 league goals for the club in the 2012/13 season.

The 19-year-old, who is eligible to play for Nigeria, has yet to be capped at any level by the West Africans.
