NGF Crisis:amaechi,jang To Step Down. by wengerjay(m): 8:32pm On Aug 13, 2013
STRONG indications emerged from the Monday meeting by President
Goodluck Jonathan, President
Goodluck Jonathan and governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP that governors Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State and
Jonah Jang of Plateau State who both chair two Secretariats of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF will step down. According to a source at the meeting which took place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Amaechi who
emerged as Chairman of the NGF for his second term in May after an
election held at the Rivers State Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja after scoring 19 votes to defeat Jang of Plateau State who polled 16 votes will drop the position as well as Jang for peace to return to the family of the party. www.vanguardngr.com/2013/08/ngf-crisis-amaechi-jang-to-step-down/

i don't knw why our president has refuse 2 trade d path of truth and stop backing what is wrong. Nigerians actually knws who won d election of d NGF chairman. If mr president want 2 be sincere to nigerians and himself what he need 2 do is 2 call jona jang 2 step down 4 d real chairman Ameachi. Dat is when we will all knw dat our president is a transparent Leader.

so If both step down, GEJ still achieves his aim of unsitting the chairman of governors forum?

No this is no solution.

The mere fact that Buhari has never congratulated GEJ for electoral victory has never meant that both Buhari and GEJ have to step down

So I disagree with this, people must learn how to loose elections. It is part of the democratic spirit and GEJ is making another wrong move.

If Buhari in 2015 claims victory and decide to run a parallel Government, will both be expected to step down?

Provided that Amechi who led his NGF to condemn the State of Emergency as declared by the President steps down, I am in support. If the purpose of opposition to "oppose" every "position" of the President including sensitive issues like the State of Emergency, then to hell with such opposition.

It is the same reason I see the APC (Amalgamation of Political Counterfeits?) as mere opportunists!
Except somebody tells me why Tinubu, Buhari, Lai Mohammed, Amechi and his NGF, opposed in the strongest terms that noble act of Mr. President, then Amaechi should not only step down as the NGF chairman, he should also step down as a leader, because he is not one.
I heard Buhari is preparing to contest the Presidency again, are waiting for him at the polls!

Once, more Biafrans, leave the North!
