valicious1: anyONE eVer experienced driving behind an old woman on a very looooong NARROW lane with the HORNS of your car BEing faulty? That what I experinced today and it wasn't funny atall. I felt like crying. Old women should be banned from driving in this country 4god'ssake.>sad >sad

let me guess... If u were driving a big truck and the old woman is in front of u, then u would have hooted ur horn so aggressively so,that the woman will get scared and drive into the bush. I think u are the one that deserve to be banned from driving. I have witnessed this before whereby a trailer driver scared an old woman out of the way and she panicked and drove into the bush.

Why can't u be patient, wait for the road to be free then overtake.

If you are really a car owner you must have observed that some drivers would intentionally wantto pull your legs and annoyinly try your patience. Some people would be driving slowly but the moment you put head wan overtake na dat time dem go increase dia speed put head wia u wan follow ovatake.

Dude, I'm not a slow driver at all. In fact I love to stretch my car when the road is free. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't consider other road users as well. If someone in front of u is driving slowly, the best thing to do is be patient, wait for the right time and overtake and go ur way. A lot of accidents have been caused by impatience and stupidity. Remember when u try to scare someone out of the way, the person might lose control and might lead to an accident which might also affect u.then u go tell me whether that place wey u dey hurry go, shey u go reach there on time?

Bros I have learned offensive and defensive driving, what you're doing is offensive driving. Just be patient and don't hit someone, for me, I don't care whether you drive slow or not, just not on the left lane.

I agree with you 101%.

But the irony is that 90% of Nigerian roads dont have ANY FORM OF MARKINGS! angry angry wink

Its such an important part of roads you would think that Govt would make it mandatory for any road construction company.

Fashola has tried in this regards, with respect to roads he has constructed but l want to plead with him to engage "reputable companys", define standards for them and let them go about "putting markings on ALL Lagos roads".

Road markings are not just done with "white Oiyel Paint" (as done in Lagos), the markings are cement-impregnated paints ...and should last very long!

Thank you very much, we need people like you for the future of Nigeria to be bright.

I see no reason why all roads shouldn't have road markings to promote saner driving.

With regards to Oga Fash, as you said all the new roads constructed by him have perfect road markings. I just wish he would extend that to every single road, both existing and new.

6. Mechanic drivers testing just repaired cars all around. I'm always careful when I see cars with testing placard on d road

7. Drivers carrying bank money: always driving roughly with less driving experience

8. Personal drivers always trying to please their d-owner

May God save us in Nigeria
