Picture this:
You are in a public bus already running late for an interview and eager for the bus to move so that the opportunity will not pass you. While trying to remember all the interview skills you have read up on the internet on how to answer questions a loud voice suddenly jolts you back to reality,

"Brothers and sisters, Praise the Lord! The Lord is good! Let us bow down our heads as we talk to the Lord in prayer. Heavenly father....".

You do a quick scan around and you saw a smartly dressed brother you could have swore was a banker, clutching a Bible and ready to begin a very long sermon....

At one point or the other, most of us have probably been a witness to situations like this (I encounter it almost everyday while going to work). This seem to be the order of the day in most parks in Lagos. My question is this, is it right to disturb the peace of other people in a public place like a bus just because you want to preach your religion? Has it ever occurred to these preachers that there are probably many people who may feel offended by their actions? What about those of other religions who may actually not be interested in whatever they have to say? Should preaching the Word not be reserved for places of worship?

Please share your thoughts
