We arrived Supreme lodge few minutes later, but were informed that TeamSupreme (the footballers from Supreme lodge) had already gone to "Our Lady Of School" the venue for the football match.

"na where be our lady of school self?" I asked no one in particular.

"na one public school for inside anyigba town" Promise replied me.

"how you tay know the place?" Deji asked Promise.

"one of my course mate dey stay around that area" He lied.

Yes! He lied. We had barely spent five months in Anyigba town, but Promise was familiar with every areas and lodges in and out of Anyigba town. He goes from lodges to hotels chasing after anything that had hold between its legs. No wonder he kept complaining of been broke.

Our Lady of School, the venue of the football match was a very large compound. It was fenced high about 10ft above ground level with a big black gate serving as the entrance and exit route. Buildings and blocks of different types, sizes and shapes were sited at various location inside the school compound. Students in school uniform were standing in small groups, others were walking to the exit gate, probably going back home. Some boys in different football clubs jersey were playing football at the far end of the compound.

"Pizzaro..." a voice called from afar.

"na people make we won play with dey that side. Make una play una best o" Pizzaro said pointing to some guys standing in group as we walked to them.

"chairman! I hall you o" I greeted a guy with a stick of some thing similiar to marijuana in his mouth.

"you won smoke?" he asked offering the substance to me.

"I nor dey smoke. I just dey hail you"

Other boys in the same group with the marijuana smoker were busy drinking Alomo Bitters, Chelsea dry gin and even the dreaded "brukutu". Alomo Bitters also known as Kasapreko was a herbal alcoholic product made from carefully chosen tropical plant extracts and very well known for its proven medicinal values. I once caught Deji drinking it at Marijuana lodge, when I asked him why he was drinking it, his reply was short and simple; "he dey make my dicck dey stand strong and I nor dey quick release each time I drink am". When did an alcoholic drink became Viagra? I thought a South-South Nigerian musical once said; "nor be power dey tay dey stand prick?" or so I heard.
"brukutu" on the other hand was a locally made alcoholic drink made from Maize. It's quiet popular in Northern Nigeria. I remember the day I first drank a glass of it, I slept for three good days before I came back to my normal senses. The good old days indeed!

"na how much una won play" a chubby guy asked.

"five thousand naira" Pizzaro replied him.

My heart skipped for a minute. Five thousand naira for gamble? The highest money I had risked in the game of gamble was three thousand naira.

"5K too much o! Na only 2K we get" the chubby guy spoke.

"but na 5K me and you talk for phone na"

"make we dey go house jor! Dem never ready" Pizzaro said with a disappointed look on his face.

We had already walked half way to the exit gate when a guy called us back.

"una go play 4K?" he asked. Pizzaro thought about it and nodded his head in agreement.

"bring that fatina money make we tay play" Pizzaro had said to me.

What the fucck? Fatima's money? Hell No!
"I nor go fit give you her money!" I stated.

"abeg bring the money. Dem nor sabi play, we go win them"

After enough begging from all footballers in TeamMarijuana, I foolishly agreed to drop three thousand naira from Fatima's money.

"una go give me back the money once we reach house o" I said to them. They all promised to refund the money once we get back to Marijuana lodge.

I took off my T-shirt, trouser and gold rolex wristwatch and wore my white Enyimba jersey and perry cold boxer.

"abeg help me hold this my wristwatch and shirt. I go take am back after the match" I begged a guy, who stood on his own, watching the football match the was about to start.

The rule was simple; any team that first score ten goals, go home with eight thousand naira. Both team brought out their money and handed it to the referee (boardman) of the football match as the game kicked off.

yemi2plus2: I never knew what true love was until I met you.
From that minute that I met you, I knew that you would be different from anyone that I had been with. And I was right. You know how people have first loves, first kisses, and so on?
You were my first True Love.
I felt so much with you and if I could rewind time,
I would do so many things differently so we could still be together.
Our very first kiss is something that will always replay in my mind like a movie, down to the last time I saw you.
I truly thought you were my soul-mate and I will always think that.
Even though you broke my heart, time and time again,
I would give up everything right now, just to be with you again.
I will never forget you; your face and memory will always be alive in my heart.

You know i am not into story writing, but if you wanna write a story about him, i will support you in my own little way by giving you some points.

i can still remember when he wrote a work book, and decide to force it on the student. He also advice us to start writing. Can you still remember that?

sure. I recall everything that happened. Even the day he almost stab me. Remember? He surely will be proud of me now. But it will be fun if we both write about him i.e I can write from my own view and you add to it.
