As a proud Nigerian I like promoting my country any were I find myself,
Because nobody will do it for us. But something happen recently that shocked me, one of my friend return from the states, we were together one night and I was telling him everything Nigeria as got to offer, I when on and on , but he told me to shut up when I wanted to tell him about NAIRALAND. He said ‘which nairaland that site that any tom, privates and ali can come and say what ever they fill like saying in the name of forum.’ So please are we really on a gossip site.

The whole idea of a discussion forum is to allow everybody to have their say. And it is a good thing.

rigth now i don't know how to change is mind, to let him know that nairaland is one of the best web site in nigeria.

Dearie, only 14 posts, you're clearly a newbie to Nairaland. Seun has about eleven thousand, you can talk to him. Anywhere there is discusssion, there's always gossip. If some Nigerian artistes, like Zeal, were to stumble upon Nairaland (God knows if they haven't), they'll be out of the music industry faster than you can reply a post here.

Gossip? Well, I think it depends on the topic itself. But forums are usually can be good and bad depending on the indivual's state of mind so I can say that its part of everything. Not just gossip but on everything else.
