[b]Sanusi, CBN gov, NPC boss may lose their jobs •For mismanaging agencies under their control

There are strong indications that the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, and chairman, National Population Commission (NPC), Mr Festus Odimegwu, may lose their jobs, following a series of allegations levelled against them.

The jobs of the two public officers, acccording to a Presidency source, became threatened following investigations carried out on them over some allegations.

According to the source, both Mallam Sanusi and Mr Odimegwu were accused of mismanaging the agencies under their control, an allegation which President Goodluck Jonathan was said to have frown on.

“I can reveal to you that the matter of the two public officers has come under review and their jobs may be in the line,” disclosed the source.

According to him, “they were both accused of grossly mismanaging the agencies under their control, an accusation that has been duly investigated.”

Besides the issue of mismanagement of the agencies, the source also mentioned that the two officers were accused of misrepresenting the government through their “unguarded statements, which were often seen as representing the views and decisions of government.

“For instance, look at the CBN governor; he is usually embroilled in matters outside his official duties. How many times do you see the chairman of the US Federal Reserves Bank engaging in issues outside his official engagement? You can only see him speaking on vital economic issue when it is necessary to do so, which is rarely,” explained the source, adding that the NPC chairman was also guilty of the same offence.

“As for the NPC chairman, his conduct in recent times has been worrisome. You cannot be rubishing everything your predecessor did. If there is a problem, it is your job to solve it and not create any problem for your agency and government,” the source stated.

Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, while addressing State House journalists on Friday, had called for the sack of Odimegwu, saying his appointment was a mistake. The governor was quoted as saying that many of them (governors) were not with the appointment of the NPC chairman.

Gov Kwankwaso is at it again! Who is afraid of the truth? Why would this glorified cattle rearer exhibit his paranoia for anything Igbo? He picks holes with any Igbo holding Federal appointments, even in minor positions. Recall how he chided Enweremadu and sensationalised South-East agitation for additional state as if Enweremadu alone has the power to create a council ward, let alone a state, and by doing so clearly displayed his pitifull ignorance about the constitution he swore to uphold.

It is high time Igbo leaders, particularly those in the FG atart calling this foolish aboki to order! It is undeniable that his careless statements have fuelled the incessant bombings and killings of Ndigbo in Kano, with no clear programme of compensation or justice for victims of a KWANKWASO MASTER-MINDED GENOCIDE

That said, Odimegwu must remain and carry out his task of confronting the biggest demographic fraud in the whole world!Fact remains that of all West African regions within the same latitudinal belt, Nigeria is the only country where the North is said to have more population than the south. As at 2006, the North-west zone was 'allocated' a figure of about 35 million people: yet the whole of Niger republic, a country with which it shares many cultural, economic and social ties has no more than 18 million people!Yet this dirty mallam and his ilk has not for once tried to argue intelligently as to why this could have been so.

Finally, Ra-biu Kwan-kwa-so's rant is clearly a representation of what his name suggests- a periodic emmission of noise.

Leave NPC boss alone. His claim that Nigeria has not had a credible census since 1813 has unsettled the Northerners. Let him do his job and reveal the actual population of the North to the world. Must Jonathan always dance to the tune of these Northerners? Go and investigate other office holders and stop witchunting this man.

But on a second thought, the report says mismanagement. What is the nature?

The truth must be told.

Who are those afraid of the truth? Hmmmmm, they should leave NPC boss alone.

We want to know the correct population of Nigeria, and its tribal / religious constituents. We can't continue to believe and live on fictitious census figures.

On CBN boss, even a primary 2 chap is aware the guy has misfired a lot. He would do better as an Islamic Instructor than running CBN.
