our traditional theologies worship idols. The atheist voice undecided
Why Not worship idols, nature, ancestors etc for peace to reign? i am an aborisha, the directive of God to me is 'respect and worship everything'

Atheism I see as a PTSD resulting from too much exposure to religion. if all you know is traditional theology, you probably wont be an atheist since the description of God is a fatherly gentleman and not a sadist with a hell.

GOD IS IMAGINARY; Analyzing Prayers

The fact is, God never answers any prayers. The entire idea that "God answers prayers" is an illusion created by human imagination .
How do we know that "answered prayers" are illusions? We simply perform scientific experiments. We ask a group of believers to pray for something and then we watch what happens. What we find, whenever we test the efficacy of prayer scientifically, is that prayer has zero effect:
It does not matter who prays.
It does not matter if we pray to God, Allah, Vishnu, Zeus, Ra or any other human god.
It does not matter what we pray about.
If we perform scientific, double-blind tests on prayer, and if the prayers involve something concrete and measurable (for example, healing people with cancer), we know that there is zero effect from prayer. Every single "answered prayer" is nothing more than a coincidence. Both scientific experiments and your everyday observations of the world show this to be the case every single time.

Lol cheesy! I can't help but laugh at the whole statement.
Anyway, what's the difference between your claim and that of the Christians?

Our God is not burning innocent people in hell for unbelief. we have only one law 'never initiate evil ever'. Are You Clear Now?

It might not have "hell" but I believe it punishes unbelievers as well. What happens when the people decide not to sacrifice to their gods anymore because they believe their bountiful harvest was from their toil and sweat rather than the gods?
Hmmm! I wonder the kind of punishment it will mete out..maybe you can take a pick for me.
Not to talk of the type of vengeance it will carry out if it's worshippers decide to introduce a foreign god & loose belief in it shocked lipsrsealed

If the Christian god dishes out punishment to both believers & unbelievers while claiming omnibenevolent & the traditional god[s] does so too, in its own way, while claiming to be a "fatherly gentleman", I then think we can conclude that both are the same, just have different styles/methods of execution.

In traditional theology, you dont need to believe anything to be saved. You are saved by your good works.

Since there's no heaven and hell in traditional theology, what do you then mean by "saved"?

There Is heaven where Olodumare reigns in Yoruba Theology and we will all end up there to give account of how we spent our lives and only our good deeds can save us. thanks for your intelligent questions

Oh I see.. If I understood you correctly, it means that everyone will end up in heaven to give their accounts according to Yoruba theology.
Now I can imply that those that did good deeds will stay in that heaven with Olodumare. What will happen to those that did bad deeds??

Oh I see. The punishment is returning back to earth & the reward is staying in heaven with Olodumare.
I wonder which one is more fun grin

Thanks, I now got something clear...
In Christianity, the reward is heaven & punishment is hell (or returning to the soil according to Jehovah W.)
& in Yoruba theology, reward=heaven; punishment=coming back to earth.

Of course to remain in heavem is more desirable as earth is a market place while heaven is home but if there is an assignment an Apeere or Buddha Can Be reincarnated on Earth

Dont Draw parallels between traditional theology and religion. They are poles apart. Reincarnation On Earth is to make you a better person. There Is Esan Or Karma For Everything You Do

What if the person decides not to be a better person after reincarnation?? All I see is the same punishment recurring over & over & over.
What am trying to establish is that the 2 religions under review dishes out punishment to its followers albeit in a different form.
So I don't think you are under a good authority to say yours is good & the other bad. All I see are two ailments- where one is headache and the other stomach ache.

It is obviously like repeating a class or not but given enough time you will become Apeere. That is also the teaching in Buddhism

Come on...what you wrote doesn't show that heaven is enjoyable...It kinda sound lonely.
The bolded showed that you have been to heaven..What happened? Why were you kicked out? You enveloped yourself with bad deeds in your former life?
