Application of dendrimers in slow release pesticide

Compared with ordinary pesticide, slow release pesticide with dendrimers have following advantages: 1) solubility to decrease dosage 2) reduce pesticide loss in the environment to enchance the utilizatioin ratio 3) increase adhesion and retention of pesticide on plants, prolong retention time 4) Increase penetration to the plants and insects to improve pesticide effect 5)Control pesticide release speed to have functional and energy saving pesticide 6)Long term effect by one time usage 7) Resistance to rain, weather and improve environmental stability

Example as following:
Dendritic polymers were used as pesticide carriers to mix with dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D). The result showed dendritic polymers can well coat herbicide 2,4-D. Further crop experiments showed that the pesticide with dendritic polymers as carriers had good slow release performance. Compared with the traditional pesticide,the dendritic pesticide performance was increased by 2-4 times, and had excellent resistance to rain, weather and other environmental. The slow release pesticide can be controlled at slowed-release period and release time can be increased up to 1-3 months. Weihai CY Dendrimer Technology Co. Dendritic polymers have obvious application advantages and prospect.

In the production of controlled released fertilizer, changing processing methods can obtain controlled release fertilizer of different application way as dendritic polymers have special cavity structures and functional surface groups, the fertilizer has long release time and active ingredient is uniformly released, it’s biodegradable and environment friendly, there’s nitrogen in the degradable product that can be absorbed by the plants. Such as:
Application 1:
It can replace traditonal sealants and used as toughening agents for the ourter resin of the sulfur coated controlled release fertilizer, compared to the traditional sealants, dosage is less but performance is good, it can not only increase the strength but also decrease the coating void, thus realizing effect release, besides, it’s degradable and won’t pollute the earth.
Application 2:
As coating material, it’t won’t need porogen or less dosage is ok, itself is nanopore structure and have long release time, the release effect is uniform, the coaitng has good impact and tensile strength, can be coated uniformly.
Application 3:
Used as carriers for fertilizer. Dendrimers have void space to coat the fertilizer, i.e use dendrimers as additives to mix with fertilizer, coat the fertilizer in the cavity of dendrimers, and then it can be effectively released, which meant to prepare dendritic controlled release fertilizer. Effective application of dendrimer-based mesoporous catalyst in hydrogenation reaction of unsaturated hydrocarbons.
Nanoparticles are easily oxidized and agglomerating in the application and storage, thus affecting its catalytic activity and selectivity. A lot of catalysts have excellent catalytic performance are often homogeneous catalysts, which brings enormous waste and pollution for catalyst recovery and utilization. To meet the lubricants requiremens of high-quality,energy saving, extending oil change period and low emissions, base oil is required to have a low viscosity, low volatility, high viscosity index, excellent oxidation stability characteristics.Dendrimer-based mesoporous catalyst compared with the prior technology has significant features and progress: a) nanoparticles protected by inorganic-organic shell have stable performance; 2) convenient recycling and non pollution ; 3) can be recycled; 4) controllable reaction rate and selectivity. The result has proved that the dendrimer Pd-Gn-mesoporous catalyst has higher catalytic activity of the hydrogenation, the reaction activity can be controlled by different type of catalyst, and the selectivity of saturated hydrocarbons increased with the generation increases, raised from 79% of 1 generation to 93.4% and 91.4% of 3,4-generation, thus inhibiting the byproduct production of ketone, which has important practical significance on catalytic hydrogenation.In contrast to homogeneous catalyts, catalytic activity has been improved, selectivity is 20% higher than heterogeneous catalysts (75%).Weihai CY Dendrimer Technology Co.
