Use your Android device as an ad-hoc wireless router. HotSpot control allows you to turn your Android phone or tablet into a temporary router, allowing your other devices to connect to each other using it. This is perfect for spur-of-the-moment LAN parties in hotel rooms or sharing documents directly, but there’s another potential advantage – tethering.
Getting started is simple – just fire up the app. You can choose whatever SSID (network name) and password (mandatory) you like, and then tap “Enable Access Point” and you’ll have a network.

You should now see your new network on your other devices – whether it’s a laptop, desktop, tablet, PC, Mac, or Linux doesn’t matter. Connect the way you normally would with as many devices as you’d like, and you’ll be able to send files from one computer directly to another or play network-only games.

This router-like functionality is built into Android, and has been for years. Many wireless carriers – and even some Android devices – hide the option from the settings instead of removing it altogether.
If your device works that way the app might allow you to tether, even though tethering is disabled. It’s worth noting, however, that the developers themselves say this is not the purpose the app was designed for – just an added bonus for some users.
It’s also worth noting some wireless carriers will charge you for extra Internet usage, tethered or otherwise. Beware.

BlackBerry 7.1 allows customers to turn their BlackBerry phones into Wi-Fi hotspots..For example BB Bold 6 doesn't support it until you upgrade it to 7.1
Using a Blackberry smartphone as a mobile hotspot for other devices with Wi-Fi can be really handy. Here's how to use a BlackBerry as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.
For this guide we've used a BlackBerry Z10 running the BlackBerry 10 operating system. However, older versions of the OS support mobile hotspots.

Step One
Enter the phone System Settings either by the app icon or from the drop down bar.

Step Two
Select Network Connections from the list.

Step Three
Select Mobile Hotspot from the list.
NB. You're mobile hotspot will not work if data is not switched on.

Step Four
You'll now be taken through a number of setup stages. The first few are just information and warnings. Give these screens a read and hit Next when you're ready.

Step Five
You'll come to a screen asking you to set a password for your mobile hotspot. Enter a suitable password and hit Next.

Your Wi-Fi hotspot is now setup and available to use. You can switch it on an off easily in the menu and if you wish to change certain settings, such as the name and the inactivity timer, then hit the Configure button at the bottom of the screen.
You can now connect your wireless laptop to this hotspot connection.
NB. Make sure you subscribe for MB (100,200 or more from your network provider) Because you can't use your blackberry plan.
NB. If you wish, you can tether over USB or Bluetooth. For this method select Internet Tethering in the Network Connections menu.
Feel Free to ask any other questions......
