There is difference between work and job. There are no jobs in Nigeria, but work. I strongly advice you to get a work to get on with your finances because in the course of doing a work you will find a job. Most young people fail to realise this fact. I know it could be frustrating.

Where are the movers and shakers of this thread? Feedback O!!!!!

Pls guys, help me with likely test and interview questions for schools- primary/secondary.
What kind of questions do they ask?
Primary school- it all depends on the school, however I will say your read maths, English, current affair, verbal and quantitative.
Secondary - Read the subject you applied. Make sure you go back to the just concluded G. C. E questions in your discipline answer the theory.
Finally, for both category Post-Nursery and Post-Primary, you should know how to write a lesson note. Some Schools would not bother if they see your test results are good, because they feel you will learn that on the job. Please, refer to Prof. Gday's lesson note on the thread.
Oh boy, I though you have gotten a teaching job already.

That is why I am sharing it for anyone who might be interested. An application you sent months back may receive attention anytime. Read my post well; I did not say that a school I recently applied invited me for an interview.
Re: Strictly For Those Interested In Teaching Jobs by CaptainDo: 7:02pm On Nov 05, 2014
I do not know why you are teaching? Whatever reason(s) that brought you into this profession, I believe you deserve a good pay. Some of us receive 10k-40k, others 50k-70k, others 80k-120, others 130k-150k and others 150k-k's. All these categories of remunerations are available but you need few things to get a good one.
1. Determination and Focus- be determined and focused. Start somewhere and aim/target big. I started teaching job with 10k.
2. Be unique- Do not always do your things as usual. I could remember I payed for website hosting in August and put the website in my CV. It gave edge over others. I wrote a novel which I showed the manuscript to my interviewer.
3. Take Risk-Leave your comfort zone and try new things. I was teaching in Mainland-from 10k to 16k to 38k and 100k(Lekki) after a month 20k added(120k now). But how many of us can abandon 2 months salary of 38k(76k) to pursue an unsure job? Yes, I did it when my employer wanted to use it to hold me .
Leave your comfort zone- there are schools here in Lekki, Ikoyi, VI, Ajah that you can fit in perfectly into. The School that is paying me 120k just started with 14 students.

Can we get the physical address? If no, then it is a scam.
Are you the PATRICIA that called me to give her the name and email of the school so she can advertise it on 'jobberman's' website, which I refused? Honestly I'm one of those who do commend your effort on this thread but with this comment, I don't know what to say again (assuming you are Patricia). Ask those who sent in their CVs or messages, if they were contacted or not? Fortunately the right person has resumed with the school. This is a public forum, we should choose our words properly. Thanks and remain blessed!
