All I know is UP NEPA! My grandma, elderly folks in the hinterlands and even small children do not care for name changes. What they know is NEPA. And if the change brings us stable power supply, they would still be full of praises for NEPA! |

Now we can settle down and look forward to uninterrupted power supply Now we can stop worrying because the onus is on the electricity company to deliver or they wont make money and their investment will go down the drain. This is the beauty of privatization. Now the customer will become the king. We do not expect it to be perfect immediately, but we know, just like the telecom privatization, it will continue to grow and get better. |

moscobabs: The same old wine in new bottle The EMS is therefore, to take over the responsibilities of some non-core professional and subsidiary services of the defunct PHCN and its successor companies. Its mandate includes providing all needed ancillary and support services to the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI). These services include engineering laboratory, meter test stations, central stores system, testing and certification of major electrical power equipment. Other activities will include providing the platform for standardization in the industry, arching the power sector data and information management. PHCN and EMS are not the same things.... |

Goddex: Well, I hope Prof Nebo doesn't disappoint the entire UNN community where he was Vice Chancellor. Those guys praised his appointment to high heavens. I remember how my elder sister who was his former student celebrated and swore to us that Nebo would surpass Nnaji. He is beginning to impress now sha - more like gradually finding his feetHe didn't solve any problem he only changed a dead company's name which may even remain dead with its new name, so what is tђε̲̣̣̣̥ praise singing Fø̲̣̣я |
