Governor To Jonathan: Respect Pact by unuane1(m): 7:36am On Sep 26, 2013
Despite President Goodluck Jonathan’s denial that he signed a one term agreement with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors, the controversy has refused to go away.

Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu, who broke the news of the pact, said yesterday that it was moral to stick to an agreement.

Aliyu is a member of the group of seven (G7) PDP governors and the Kawu Baraje-led PDP faction, who are insisting that President Jonathan must not run in 2015.

Other governors in the group are Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano), Murtala Nyako (Adamawa) AbdulFatah Ahmed (Kwara) and Chibuike Amaechi (Rivers).

Receiving the Brigade Commander, 31 Field Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army, Major-General Hassan Abayomi Salihu, in his office in Minna, said the crisis in the PDP “is about democracy and morality”.

espite President Goodluck Jonathan’s denial that he signed a one term agreement with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors, the controversy has refused to go away.

Receiving the Brigade Commander, 31 Field Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army, Major-General Hassan Abayomi Salihu, in his office in Minna, said the crisis in the PDP “is about democracy and morality”.

He said: “The whole essence is about democracy and morality. Democracy may not necessarily flourish. Morality means that if you make an agreement – whether privately or publicly – we must learn to keep it.”

He reiterated that the G7 governors and other leaders in the Baraje group are interested in building a democratic culture in politicians “to the extent that their words will always be their bond”.

On the party’s crisis, the governor said: “The PDP has the capacity to resolve whatever differences we have; we must not allow people who are outside the party to get so enmeshed in the problem that is not their own and in the process kill that which we want to build.

“I need to draw your attention to this because I have been reading a lot of articles that they planted to create more animosity and anarchy that will make reconciliation difficult.

“What is happening is an internal affair of the PDP because I am beginning to see a sign as if some people don’t want reconciliation to take place through the type of articles they are planting in newspapers’.

“Those (G7 governors) who are involved in the crisis are mature enough to know when to hold and when to go.”

Aliyu praised the military for growing to become one of the most educated groups in the country and challenged parents to make the education of their children top priority.

He stressed the need for military training for all adult civilians and called for the extension of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme to 18 months, with the last six months devoted to military training.

Pls tell Governor Aliyu and his fellow G7 to show us the pact. Its time to prove their mettle or forever hold their peace. We are getting tired of this drama. Earlier on, it was third term and now it is single tenure pact. This is getting boring.

But why should this man be making such comments on deeply political matters to a serving military officer in public Or does he want to compromise the neutrality of our fine military in partisan politics?

Even a junior officer that I gave a ride the other day politely refused to be drawn into passing comments on the political state of affairs of the nation, humbly confessing to me that he "knows nothing" on the subject matter as he is only a soldier and not a politician.

That's how it should be.

GEJ will respect the constitutional pact to continue till 2019
Re: Governor To Jonathan: Respect Pact by Nobody: 9:34am On Sep 26, 2013
So na why this Aliyu de explain to Soldier man? He expect the brigadier to TALK to GEJ his own CnC or what?

This man is a disgrace to American trained professionals, him and His G7 rascals are embodiment of disgrace along with their brothers/sisters in APC. By 2015 this group will become defunct and na EFCC things for them. Shebi una say without una support Jona no fit win election? Oya make we see na.

By the way Niger/ Kano never voted for GEJ both in the primaries and general election in 2010/2011. So make una still keep una vote for una pocket in 2015 if una like.

Rivers voted GEJ NOT because of Amaechi. In fact Amaechi wouldn't have won if ge had campaigned against GEJ both in primaries and General election. So in 2015, e no go change-make Amaechi no deceive himself, he neither has the knife nor the yam-the Ijaws and other tribes in Rivers hold both.

As for the rest of the rascals, make una go burn bush. The only pact Jona is to obey ois to run for second term. In fact HE must contest(and win).

Like I keep saying.......

NO VACANCY in ASO VILLA Till 2019

Jonathan will die untimely death if he fail to honour the pact with Nigerians by adhering to the provisions of the constitution by contesting in 2015.

You will die in 7 days time if you don't withdraw the statement above.

If Retardeen wants to contest, he can do such in another party like APGA or labour party. Let him test his popularity there but not in the killer party.
He agreed with members of killer party that he will go for one term. He even went outside our shores to tell Nigerians in diaspora that its just a term for him. Retardeen should leave killer party where he made his promise go to another party and contest. With that, Nigerians will vote for him. grin

is that your problem?
Re: Governor To Jonathan: Respect Pact by Sunnybobo3(m): 11:43am On Sep 26, 2013
Why is this frog-eyed mallam discussing the issue with a serving army officer?

GEJ should first of all get the army officer sacked for listening to that bullshit instead of cutting the governor short.

If this loud mouthed will not shut this his garrulous mouth, it's high time the gods shut it. This man( Aliyu) and his bunch of rascals are a disgrace and more of a liability to even the APC than an asset. Initially the opposition was enjoying the infighting in PDP by these idiots but the mood of nigerians are tilting towards sympathizing with the president hence he would get more supporters by 2015 just as 2011.
