mu2sa2: How does one compare this twosome? Well, Maku was a comrade in his undergraduate days at UNIJOS in the 1980s. Then, he chose to wear only a shirt and one pair of trousers every day- when those become unwearable from overuse he gets another set from the second-hand market, very likely at Terminus or Katako. Maku was just lucky to have been let to graduate because SSS were always after him because as students' Union activist he mobilized students several times to protest against govt policies, including the 2 kobo increase on the pump price of petrol by Babangida. After graduation, he roamed the streets for a while with his Pol. Science degree(placed on 3rd class, but clearly he deserved a higher grade) before he got a reporter job with champion newspaper. As a student Maku's religious affiliation was unknown to many, but now as a politian he is seen occasionally at christian gatherings. Maku surfaced later as Deputy Governor of Nasarawa state.Aregbe is also one time commissioner for works in lagos state |

Pls learn to criticize constructively and for more important reasons abeg or is Ogbeni complaining about the way Maku dresses which is mostly traditional and shows that he is proud of his culture. Really, Nigerians are a difficult people to please |

clint77ng: slowpoke respect the Gov and disrespect the president ?they both deserve respect if not for anything but at least for the offices they occupy. Just that some people on this forum especially amongst the so called "progressives" are suffering from intellect myopia hence they will always cry foul when served a dose of their own medicine. But please respect the governor, just criticize any of his policies you're not comfortable with |

Re: Labaran Maku And His Team Visit Aregbesola by talktimi(m): 3:52pm On Oct 02, 2013 |
Olaolufred:is the governor complaining ? The estacode youre complaining about is already in the ministry's budget, why not let them work for it by these visits than to sit in his office quietly at Abuja and "die" the money at the end of the year via unspent budget things. |

Your view is well assimilated. However, don't you think a budget bloated just to cover so much visit (useful and useless) all in the name of working to cover the budgeted estacode is one burden among many that Nigerians are carrying? However, they do enjoy at the expense of the impoverished masses. You may be in the clique, but can Nigeria project be left for 1 million people to be feeding fat on the destiny of 169 million? This affects all teirs of govt. |
Re: Labaran Maku And His Team Visit Aregbesola by talktimi(m): 6:10pm On Oct 02, 2013 |
Olaolufred:estacode is a normal practice even in private companies when you might be sent outside your locale. The usefulness or otherwise of the minister's visit is comparatively relative as the visit might be useless to you but definitely useful to the Osun state govt to showcase its achievements to the generality of Nigerians and the fg who through the minister and his wide entourage of journalists highlight fg projects in Osun state that are under way and those completed helping to educate the populace about the activities/projects of govt. I dont understand what you mean by i may be in the clique but i'll let it slide just know that im not amongst those people who follow the band wagon to criticize and condemn just because everyone else is doing it. |
