This is not a funny scenario as it shows the contempt western powers especially US have against this Zimbabwe leader - he has been in power since like forever- as US delegates walks out in disgust during his UN speech

However, President Robert Mugabe once again hit out at the West on Thursday for their imposition of ‘illegal and filthy’ sanctions, during his address to the United Nations in New York which prompted a walk out by US delegates

This same scenerio has played out when former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was famous for this and his speeches at the UN largely saw delegates from the US, UK and most European countries walk out in disgust.

“Shame, shame, shame to the United States of America. Shame, shame, shame to Britain and its allies,” Mugabe ranted.

A political commentator Bekithemba Mhlanga told SW Radio Africa that Mugabe has lost the aura of a great orator and invincibility that helped him dominate his African rivals, emboldening an emerging crop of young presidents to shine on the world stage.

“Mugabe speeches at the UN have since lost the element of surprise. His speeches have now lost the element of shock and awe. He has become so predictable that it becomes very difficult for anyone to take him serious,” Mhlanga explained.

Whatever one might think of the US is really quite irrelevant, Mugabe has been in power for 30 years, give or take. The amount of time it took Japan and Korea to modernize so why is Zimbabwe, an infinitely smaller country still a third world dump?
