Who would have thought Military General Ebele Jonathan Sani Abacha would do this in a democratic nation? This man is ready to spill blood if given second term opportunity.

This so-called lecturers are too greedy. Why ask for 3tr naira in a developing country like naija? Hw much do dey want to be allocated to other sectors?

They are already making money throught sales of diploma forms, pre-lim forms, post utme forms, school fees and govt allocations. An average Nigerian lecturer cannot boast of a single research to his credit despite all the billions allocated to the educational sector.

There salaries should be stopped until dey go back to classes. Most of these lecturers go to school on fed govt scholarship and now they are playing part in destroying the future of Nigeri youths while their childres school in the UK and US.

Were they getting paid for being on strike? I don't understand how it works in Nigeria. Strike is usually the risk and sacrifices workers make to stamp their grievances and it is always the last resort, knowing that they have a lot at stake refusing to work because they are not getting paid for the time off. That is what happens in normal societies where work ethics are rationally defined.

If the Government at Federal & State levels had started the implementation of the said agreement since 2009 by creating a special educational fund they would have succeeded in implementing nearly 80percent of the agreement reached with ASUU by now and if I may ask, how much has being allocated to national security for the past 4years( if not up to N3.8billion so far) without any progress with the fight against insurgencies, common crimes, crude oil theft, kidnapping and other social misdemeanors.
