For me as a person I always feel free to tell people my real age whenever I'm am being ask. If u have ever lied about your age, wat was your reason for lying?

Never did that, but it‘s common with ladies n most Nigerian footballers. I remember the U-17 team of a certain yr whence full grown men claimed to be U-17, was so amusing

some times , because of favour from others

I have never lied about my age. I see no reason to.

Job seekers do hide their age, to fall into the age range of some jobs,with the intent to increase their chances of getting the jobs.

Some people hide their age to earn respect from others.

Success is a relative term though. If a man or a woman feels he or she has not attained some level of success expected of him or her at his or her age, either in a particular area of their life or generally,they will hide their age so as not to be seen as failure or be pitied.

It is good to add it as a prayer point that,May God not let me have reason to hide my age from my contemporaries or people generally(cos it is a sign of unfufilled life).

Some people increase their age so as to avoid bullying from older people! Even here on NL, it happens! When they know your age, they'll always like to use it against you!
While some people reduce their age, so that they'll not look too old! For example - you are 20 years and your are still in ss1 you'll not want people to be calling you Old papa so you'll reduce your age!
Then for other reasons like to get a job, play football(football age) e.t.c
