Big B, what did Obasanjo for Yar Adua to block his way, NOTHING. Yar Adua is wrong for collecting back the companies back. We have to speak the truth. Those companies are BS. they never made profit for over 30 years. and would never ake profit as long as the govt control it. What do you expect external investor to think of Nigeria. People put their money into companies. Who on earth would buy useless, no profit making ,over 30 years old companies for the price of new. No one. So what really did obasanjo do that was wrong.

Like I said Yar Adua need to sack his minister and advices. They are old school.

Nigeria can not do without the international investment . The world have change the way govt and business are run and this govt need s to change. we need other people money to do business in Nigeria. The idea of powerful govt is wrong. 56% of revenue. what do they want to use the oney to do. marry new wife. ?

Here are  the solution to nigeria problem , if I had time.
1 get as much international investment as  possible.
2 leave business for businessmen.
3 break NEPA grid system . you can not have one grid system. sell nepa if you can. I have to go

Yar adua is going to london next week, make sure you hold business investment forum all over london. Host a carnival in the heart of London with nigeria. What I mean in Yoruba, e daba ru, Let any even 1 million millionaire meet the president in london.
Let the preisdent give them direct nuber to his press secretary. call everybody after. it is call follow up. L:et the president call of them with couple of millions from nigeria. If he would visit the. Do it. If they say na begging. we go beg. we go beg collect them money. every 500 fortunr companies president he should call

Yar'Adua is a loafer. His government is worse than that of Obasanjo and would even be worse even if he is given two additional terms.
Re: Pls Who's Government Is Better, On A General Note. Obasanjo Or Yardua? by zomby(m): 2:35am On Jul 08, 2008
this is a stupid topic. how can you compare a 13 months old administration to 8 years dictatorship?
honestly yaradua is too gentle, too honest and too sincere to rule this country. nigerians will never appreciate this kind of leadership.
nigeria needs an iron man who will steal like a crazy man and place the entire country on a cruise control for the next 8 years.

this country is this way because the citizens (young and old) are stupid and lack long term vision. i have never seen a society that is this blind. this is why politicians continue to suck us dry.

I am trying to understand how we Judge our governments and the facts that we use. I must say Yar'Dua Government is far better than OBJ. The problems that this present Government is facing now is as a result of Obj. In Electricity Obj spend a lot and nothing to show, built new gas turbine while selling all the gas to Italian and British Firms. Now nobody want to buy Nepa in this state.
There have been reduced Political Abuses like Ngige ,Ige and the killing of Harry Marshall that OBJ had hands in.Now all tribunal are fair to an extend in their decisions. For people who did not know Obj ruined Nigeria i various sector like selling refineries and ajaokuta for peanut, all that have been reversed. The giving away of Bakassi( Israel had over 46 UN resolution to give back land to the Palestinian since the 60's but has not but OBJ did in under 3 years). Most Governors now are doing far more a lot than Obj, in his time as long as you are for him like Odili, you can steal kill and get away with it, thank God for the truth committee sitting in river state.
I cannot say much but OBJ is damned for Life and he knows

I have been reluctant to contribute to this thread, but let ask Epoma. Why do we need a government.I am sure is to provide solutions to the problems of the citizens. If there is a problem caused by OBJ is not and should not be an excuse for this present administration sleepy attitude.
Power sector-There is a huge investment in this area(although there is also corruption )and a lot of the import equipments are decaying at the seaport of Lagos. The sector is worst than the way OBJ left it.
Transportation-What has Yar Dua done with the Nigeria road network since he came into power?
Private Sector involvement-The purpose of selling off investment to public  investor is just to make profit but to help the government to manage the companies, create employment, create wealth and generate tax to the government.
EFCC-Mrs Waziri has started spelling out the script of the corrupt politicians, she has deploy and redeploy officers from EFCC to Police subdivisions and all principal investigators has been transfered. Now,where is the continuity in service for career service officers.
Politics has become a business for a sect of people, read about saraki and the Societe Generale bank.
Tell me one tangible thing Yar Adua has done to put smile on the faces of Nigerians.I am sure he is working on repositioning the nation in the hands of the northern oligarchy.

Farida Waziri appoints former Bukola Saraki’s “Chief Security Officer”, ACP Abdulkadir Lanre Jimoh to head new team at the EFCC.

Saharareporters, NEW YORK

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has appointed Abdukadir Lanre Jimoh, a recently promoted Assistant Commissioner of Police to head one of its key enforcement teams. Mr. Jimoh was the main “hitman” for the Sarakis in Ilorin, Kwara state. He is a notoriously wealthy police officer popularly known as “Lanre Olopa” in Ilorin because of his mob enforcement capabilities for the Sarakis . Jimoh has since resumed to the EFCC.

Saharareporters could not immediately confirm his new designation but EFCC sources said Bukola Saraki has directed Waziri to allow him manage “Governance Team” , a team formerly managed by Ibrahim Magu who has been redeployed to the Nigerian police headquarters in Abuja.

Sources in the Nigerian Police Force, which seconded Mr. Jimoh to the EFCC, told Saharareporters that his recruitment to the EFCC clears the way for a total take over of the agency by corrupt former and current state governors.

Last Friday, Mrs. Farida Waziri, who attended a two –day Commonwealth Business Council in London, fired 10 team leaders at the EFCC who were directly involved in prosecuting corrupt former governors. One of the top team leaders that was sacked is currently involved with the prosecution of James Ibori, the former governor of Delta State who faces multiple corruption charges before a Federal High Court in Kaduna. Also, the officer who investigated the looting of Societe Generale Bank of Nigeria PLC, the commercial bank ruined by the Saraki family was sacked.

Officers of the London Metropolitan Police met with Mrs. Waziri last Friday to discuss ongoing collaboration with the EFCC under her leadership, however, they are very disappointed to learn of the removal of key officers earlier trained at the EFCC to assist with UK related investigations, especially the removal of the officer investigating James Ibori’s case at the EFCC.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mrs. Farida Waziri, the new Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) boss has concluded plans to scuttle the ongoing trial of former governor of Delta State, James Ibori. The EFCC chairperson who is currently attending a Commonwealth Business Council meeting in London secretly redeployed Bello Yahaya, a Superintendent of Police back to the Nigerian Police headquarters in Abuja. Prior to his redeployment, Bello was the key EFCC officer who investigated Ibori for massive corruption and graft while he was the governor of Delta State from 1999 to 2007. Bello who had trained with the London Metropolitan Police, was the designated officer handling cases involving the London Metropolitan Police in Nigeria. Bello is yet to be given a new posting by the police authorities in Abuja. With his removal Ibori’s case will lose its key investigating police officer.

In what has now become a Friday tradition at the EFCC, Mrs. Waziri signed off on the transfer of Osita Nwajah, EFCC’s spokesman to Enugu where he will serve as an assistant director for the EFCC. The Enugu office is an outstation headed by a Head of Operations, several levels below Osita’s current rank in the agency. This is seen by observers as a demotion aimed humiliating him to resign. This is the second time Osita will be transferred in the last two weeks on the assumption that he is being deployed to serve as the media anchor for the Enugu office.

Also redeployed is the former head of the banking and fraud unit Muhammed Wakili, an Assistant Commissioner of Police who was until his redeployment the deputy director of operations. He is known to have acted for Ibrahim Lamorde, the former acting Chairman of EFCC. Wakilli has been deployed to Gombe a relatively new office which hardly handles more than a dozen cases per month.

Bukar Abba, the deputy director of organizational services at the headquarters has also been transferred to Gombe as an accounts officer. His former position like that of Dapo Olorunyomi has been phased out of the EFCC.

It is believed that in seeking to remove all of EFCC officials seen to be loyal to the former chairman, Nuhu Ribadu, Mrs. Waziri also removed Bala Ciroma, the head of operations at the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. His office is also being scrapped because of his reported loyalty to the former minister of the FCT –Nasir El - Rufai, a known friend of Nuhu Ribadu. s friend, Ciroma is also yet to be redeployed by the Nigerian Police headquarters.

The head of legal operations in the Lagos office, Saidu Atteh said to be one of the finest officers in the Lagos office of the EFCC and Emeka Nwonyi, the head of operations in Gombe has also been redeployed back to the police headquarters.

Another investigator, Abubakar Madaki, who has worked on the corruption investigations of several former governors including those of Ekiti and Oyo State, Ayodele Fayose, Rashidi Ladoja and his deputy, Bayo Alao Akala, as well as the celebrated case of the “Vaswani Brothers” has also been redeployed back to the police in Abuja.

Also swept off is the highly dreaded investigator, Ibrahim Magu who until his redeployment was a versatile investigator who moved between Abuja and Lagos offices of the EFCC.

Saharareporters had revealed how corrupt former governors recruited Mrs. Waziri. We also reported that she received a list of officers to be removed before she resumed office. A presidency official knowledgeable about her so-called “restructuring” told our reporters that, “she has carried out the agreement between her, the Inspector General of Police, Mike Okiro, Kwara State Governor Bukola Saraki as well as Ibori to the letter”.

Another EFCC official who spoke on the basis of anonymity with Saharareporters said, “Her decisions have come on Fridays since she resumed office and all these Fridays of decision announcements are characterized by an all day power failure when even the agency's power generating systems remain shut down. This reality has led commission staff to dub every Friday as "Dark Fridays".

Those are the obstacles Micheal Aondoakaa and co are removing for Yaradua before he does his job as President

Why trying Saraki and Ibori for corruption charges is an Obstacle to President Yaradua, only BigB1 knows. I probably will understand when I begin to enjoy proceeds of Nigeria's loot.

There you go, you've finally decided to remove the mask.

There is one thing that is absolutely certain; you will always be Mckren and you will remain lost.

Question for you:
1. Who gave Bukola Saraki an OK to contest for the 2007 governorship election?
2. Who orchestrated the selection of President Yar'Adua as the winner of the 2007 presidential election?
3. Where was your hero when 16bn dollars power reform project disappeared?
4. Where was your hero when the aviation reform fund was divided among OBJ's boys?
5. Where was your hero when the Ajaokuta steel project fell apart?
6. Where was your hero when the 3rd term bribery allegation came out?
7. where was your hero when the presidential jet was flying around the world with stolen government funds?

My man, you need to go and hide your face just like your hero. Don't you come here talking rubbish.

Even your hero has given up, and it wouldn't be a bad idea for you to follow the same path (following is an easy task for you, anyway)

Fact: Your hero continues to kick himself (blame himself) for being stupid for many years, he has finally identified his mistakes and ready to move on.

Obasanjo is no better than Yaradua and Vice-versa! Nigeria elect new president and expect a change! I mean, we have to stop fooling ourselves here, wether we elect Billions of new presidents in Nigeria nothing would change, because those people don't go there to do wht they r supposed to do. They go there and explore their personal intrests.

Imagine I called Nigeria the other day and a friend was telling me that the whole Government school are on strike! How can SCHOOL be on strike 4 Christ sake!!
If everything else goes on Strike, school should definitely be an exception! But yet they say, we have a new president! Both Presidents are worse in their own ways! You just notice d one that concerns\affects or has to do with u, and another person also notices the one that affects\concerns and has to do with him or her, So . . . at d end you both come to different conclusions concerning the two presidents.

I'm just going to copy-paste wht I wrote on another thread here
.

Nigeria is Hopeless when it comes to corruption! All this . . . wht will I even call them?? Presidents!?? yea right!

We elect new president and what does he do to change Nigeria? --
I mean, I am not saying they don't make a change in Nigeria, of course they do, How?
Well: " A new president comes in, of course he considers d workers of the former president to all be corrupt, soo he sacks them and ------- puts his own corrupt people in their place" ---------- so, that is d change that Nigeria goes through when it comes to presidency, " new presidents comes, . . . fires the corrupt people of the former president . . . . and puts his own fresh new corrupt people in" And the cycle continues!

OK, lets even imagine that the people he uses to replace them are not corrupt, but wht the new presidents does is remove the people in the high seats, thinking the corruption comes from there and also because they are the ones that concerns him, not knowing that the main corruption is from the "root"! They not only need to sack those high people, but mostly those people below! ( E.g, the Chief of police, or wht ever they call them.) The president doesn't mind such people, because they don't affect him in any way, the people they change r d people that might affect or block their way if they r trying to do one of their " business". But of course these ones that never get touched have been there 4 years and years and have practised corruption inside out!

Sooo If Nigeria like, Elect Billions of New presidents, The corruption in that country will continue recycling it self! Until the greedy presidents manage to learn how to give a damn about Everything as a whole!

Soo as 4 Yaradua and OBJ - - - please! Give me a break!
