Anyone Traveled Alone For Surgery? by n3rve(m): 8:27pm On Oct 10, 2013
Hello Everyone.

I have been diagnosed with mandibular prognathism. I need orthognatic surgery, unfortunately, it can't be done locally. I've found a hospital in New Delhi that will do the surgery, however, post surgical orthodontic treatment costs, including braces, air tickets, hotel stay and others will dig deep into my small pockets. Surgery costs alone is $8,500. I've been thinking about paying for my girlfriend to escort me, but I'd prefer it if I don't have to.
I'm just wondering, has anyone traveled for surgery alone? Do you think it's risky to go alone or should I spend a little more on companion? I'm in two minds regarding this, and hope your opinions can help me decide.

Thanks!
