The US Federal Reserve introduced the re-designed $100 bill into the markets on Oct. 8, 2013. In Nigeria, CBN took delivery of these bills today Oct. 11, 2013 at Abuja and Lagos. Please see attached copies of the new $100 bill. Kindly also note the series of the new bill which is 2009. Please be informed that in addition to some new features, the new note has all the security features present in the current 2006 series $100 note. Both notes are valid legal tender as at now and can be received side by side. You would be kept informed about latest developments regarding the new note.
