i taught Igbo language was made compulsory in the University, why can't a Nairalander translate this whole post! Plz i dn't understand the english language during the day,i only do at night. |

I would really love to be a good writer but i've not developed reading habit, the worst of it is that i still cannot cultivate the habit. I literally hate reading; only read when i have to or when i need to feed my curiosity. In school i only read when there's test or exams. Though i hate it, i don't know how to overcome it. |

@op. Thanks Your writing skill can be used for corporate social responsibility and drawing attention to the needs of otherwise forgotten but important members of the society e.g drawing attention to the plight of widows , female children undergoing genital mutilation etc. I am glad to realize my potential through hard work and writing.

Interesting topic, but I have seen a million and one websites and career blogs, many with fancy names, but very poor content. Writing is a skill that should be developed, but it seems everyone just wants to have a website or career blog these days and very few are giving thought to the message they are putting out there and how it can really benefit readers. A lot of websites and blogs look like they have just been copied and pasted from other websites. Don’t get me wrong, I have come across a few good ones such as www.careerealism.com, blog.penelopetrunk.com and www.evetahmincioglu.com/web/blog/. However, a lot of what is written is not directly relevant to the African environment. The only reasonable African-focused career blog I have seen so far is http://www.theafricanrecruiter.com/, but it is pretty new. However, I am sure there are other writers and bloggers that are just too difficult to find amongst all the not-so-good ones. Oya, my fellow nairalanders, have you found any good one? Please share so early career professionals like us can all benefit. Thank you. |
