Why do you think the world recognizes chinese language, because they are over 1billion. What is the population of Yoruba speakers? How many learning resources are in Yoruba. Online there's nothing, but there are chinese translations and who told you that Chinese expatriates can't speak english, if you may know most of them endeavour to learn english because whether you agree or not, it gives them an edge (a huge one) over those who can't speak english.

A large number of Chinese speak english fluently - for those that are educated.

all i knw is dat dey use chinese to teach dia kids n study english as a foreign lang. Which dey hardly speak. We can do d same in SW too. We can speak yoruba among ourselves n speak english wen need calls 4 it. I believe in using our local language to teach our kids

Besides those three major languages have dialects,I have 2 friends,one from Ekiti and the other ondo.sometimes the one from ondo says certain things and when I ask the one from Ekiti to interprete,she says 'I don't understand cuz she used her dialect'
Samething in Igbo land,Ebonyi have a strong dialect that other Igbos don't understand and most times I don't understand the Imo dialect even the so called central igbo is very difficult to understand.

I am so sorry oooo but mr speaker the merger aint right in all ramification.How can primary school pupils be included.Let me tell you the truth where I serve in Osun state the primary school pupils are just wasting their time.They don't have teachers not even the junior school.Before the whole change my school has just 4 employed govt teachers and 2 pta teachers.So sir,employ teachers nd d inclusion of primary school is not a good idea
