This aregbe guy wants to achieve a lot at once. My questions are 1. Where the initial owners of this schools consulted or carried along bfore this policy was implemented? 2. How can the arebge-owned (sam sarah) be allowed to monopolised sewing and selling of scul uniform? 3.The aregbe man should come out why he's adamant on demolition of the bst public scul in the state Fakunle school and replace with Tinubu-thief shoprite shopping mall?? 4 Has it occured to this all-knwing-man that young children now trek distances to get to their sculs? Am nt suprised by statement of mr speaker.Errand boys. |

Promhize: In the near future, with great caution will I employ individuals that went to pry/sec(public) school in that state from this year onwards, heard they want to start teaching with yoruba too. How can u even consider teaching science, literature, maths with Yoruba, all these things were built around english. Dumb kids, that's what they will produce. Am surprised you typed this rubbish and some people likes it,but one question i will ask you and the people who liked your post is,which Language is used to teach those subjects you mention above in these countries,Germany,France,Russian,China,Japan,Iran and many other none speaking English countries, how can you say One subject is built around a particular Language and some mumuni likes what you typed? |

Promhize: i don't need to Argue with you because i know,am responding to a dumb who think some Subjects are Built around English,Now tell me what makes those Language different from Yoruba,if German can teach science in their Local Language or Chinese why cant Yoruba? You need to gather some brain in your Dark skull because if you do,you wont typed that Rubbish,if Nigeria was Never Colonized and Merged together do you think Igbos will be teaching those Subjects in English or Yoruba teaching them in English?Countries that are not Colonized are Using their Local Language to Teach Science and some that are Colonized who don't Adopt English as Official Language,Use their Local Language to teach. |

stillme: One of the problems of nigerians is impatience. I see nothing wrong with giving something a trial. We should not condemn the new system yet,let us wait for the result this merger. The Governor's intention is for the good of the students not bad. He should be commended for that brave step. Stupid a$$. Why don't you let them use your own children for experiment? |

peppy luv: Seriously I keep asking that question? Why teach in the local language when you can simply have a teacher for it and a particular time period! Carry your tribalistic self away from this thread, if Yoruba states decides to use Yoruba language as a teaching instruction language, so be it. There is a Generic Yoruba that every Yoruba speaking man understands. Yoruba states have roughly 90% yorubas constituting the population, any minority in the school will have to shape up and learn Yoruba. |

felifeli: Don't attack the guy and stop deceiving yourself, the standard of education in Osun state just recently was at its lowest ebb, with a less than 2% pass rate in SSCE/WAEC exams. If you are down, do you need to fear a fall? Why are you afraid of change? |

peppy luv: No you are the dumb one here cuz the person you quoted never said English was the only world Language.just the way English is a medium of Communication to us,that is the same way Arabic and some languages are to some countries, mind you many countries have their local Languages and dialectsNo Sir, you are too dumb to comprehend a simple statement as this and yet you criticize those trying to teach student to really understand without falling back to the dictionary every minute. the mofo made a simple cause and effect statement. He said that because the kids would be taught maths, literature ...., in Yoruba (cause), then they would be dumb (effect). I simply disagreed, pointing to the fact that these subjects are taught in countries like China, Germany, etc. in their mother tongue and kids from these countries are some of the brightest. So dumbo, try to comprehend before replying. |

Was this part of his campaign promise or agenda to the people? if not why try to destroy schools people have toiled for years to build. Why not try to improve public schools availabl instead of complicating issues with private schs. The painful thing is that people at the helm of power take unitary décisions without caring whos ox is gored. most attended these missionary schools. These islamic schools should improve on their standards. A responsible government improves lives of citizens by providing jobs for people.most of these policies ends in failure because of changes in govrnmt and wrong implementation. Encourage da owners run their schools and government to involve coporate bodies nd improve da standard of public schools. Vr.Olis |

I believe the speaker is right. >>There is a greater chance that the students in the school you taught as a corper without teachers will now have access to teachers courtesy of the merger, i am also aware the state govt just recently employed new teachers >> This merger will lead to improved monitoring and evaluation of schools. >> It will bridge the gap in standards of some low quality public schools with the highly ranked public schools. |
