It can't be closed as second as second list is yet to be released. If you believe in God, keep praying, I'm sure there'll be good news as soon as the list is out.
Also, don't be worried, worry won't do any good, just keep praying.

The 2013/2014 inter-Faculty Sports competitions
has been scheduled to start on Monday, the 20th of
October, 2014. Students representing the various
Faculties will compete in the following fifteen (15)
sports: Athletics(Track and Field), Badminton,
Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Football, Handball,

hey guys i applied to study mathematics and i had an agregate of 209.5 with a cut off 200. just last week thursday while awaiting the second list i received a text message from the registrar saying dear student due to quota limitation OAU recommends u to McPHERSON university and we are offering you provisional admission to study mathematics. pls if there is any body that has received the same message pls signify.thanks

Admission would still be on even till next year
The Dean must have done that because of disturbance from those still yet to be admitted,to scare them away from his/her office.

I smell something fishy about this. Why would OAU recommend you to a private university? Never heard of such. I really doubt that message came from OAU. The private university is just after candidates.

Without checking your PUTME result, you can't ascertain your chances of admission. As you'll need to know your aggregate and compare with the cut off mark for your chosen course.

You supposd to check ur post ume in order to knw ur aggregate, i hope Eksu gave u ur desired course or nt, if yes, go for Eksu. Cos assuming OAU gv u admision, it won,t show on jamb site due to EKSU admision. If u dnt chek ur OAU aggregate, dt meanz u,l nid to wait til OAU upload names on dia website and dt may probably be next year. Continue wt EKSU, if OAU gv u admission to ur desired course, u,ll jst port.

I met one guy in a Cyber Cafè who received a similar message. What I think is that some people of prominent position at OAU are behind it . Since you have an agregate that's higher than the cut-off of your course.My advice to you would be to go down to Ife and complain......knowing someone that could help would also be an added advantage.

Add 15 days to it, making it 26 days cos i dnt think OAU wil follow any jamb deadline. As at last year, 2nd list was released on November 15, upward

U r right,bet do u knw dt things changed dis year ,last year merit was released,later jamb supplementry ,later pd admission list,bt dis year both pd admission and jamb merit were relis dsame DAY,so is possible dey follow d deadline #no one Can predict OAU,let see how dey wan play dia Game dis year !!

This thread is dull due to lack of unity, when 1st list was out, dia,s one guy dt created anoda thread and named it OAU 2014 fresherz. This is nt supposd to be so cos other universities admission thread ar nt like this, those dt saw dia names on merit list nw neglect dis thread and otherz dt hv nt seen dia names on jamb site. They see those dt hv nt gaind admission as inferiority complex and nonentity beings, even if they hv any information abt the second list, they won,t share it for otherz that needs it. ITS LACK OF UNITY THAT IS AFFECTING THIS THREAD.
