Amadioha lit. Free will of the people in Igbo language.

He is the Alusi of Thunder and lightning but also commonly affiliated with swift justice.

He is one of the most honored in Igbo traditions, sometimes referred to as Kamalu or Kamanu

Amadioha is often associated with the Sun, His close friend Anyanwu; god of the sun

His color is red and his symbol is the white ram

Metaphysical aspects if Amadioha relates to the will of the people as his name implies

Amadioha speaks through thunder and strikes by lightening when a person is found guilty of injustice, the property of the victim is usually taken by the priest of Amadioha and his body left unburied. In other to avoid the wrath of Amadioha, ritual cleansing is usually done with live goat or ram sent to wonder off outside the city.

Amadioha is also regarded as the creator of humans: he once sent a lightening bolt down to earth that cut down a silk cotton tree into two, making the first man and woman
