@OP my nystagmus..sometimes anyway..used to be teased about it as a kid but it ended up being the reason I've made a lot positive moves in my life, career-wise and whatnot.

My Financial Status and also my look/age ( pple think am older) - neva ad a gf!! All my close female frends r way older than me and they wont believe..

@cathaliya, the only way out is to accept yourself fully. The only reason we have insecurities is that we have used others as a standard to rate ourselves. People from the media especially(when it comes to stature boobs weight and all that).

The only way it'll go away is when you see yourself as the best there is.

I think that has been covered by all the feel good psychologists of our generation. An insecurity is a mental state, you have the ability to change it by focusing on other things that you are good at. Most of our insecurities can be dealt with by adjusting the mind set of the individual to dwell on positive and productive thoughts. I have accepted my weaknesses and I strive not to live by them, but at times I could be in a gathering of people and I go missing, everyone is talking but am just listening to them without commenting, and I am okay with it because that's just me, however I make conscious efforts to improve myself.

If you feel people are always talking about you or laughing at you when you are around.... its all in your mind, its a feature of the melancholy temperament.

i hope this phase pass soon, cos have been single for about a year because of this insecurity, i know there are a lot of ladies out dere who dont give a damn about my present financial status so far i have prospects,i know the problem is me..... i never had this issue when i was an undergraduate
