In continuation of our series on Red Bricks, today, we will look at some advantages inherent in building projects with red bricks:

1. Sustainability: The number one benefit of Red Bricks is sustainability, particularly for homes. They are more comfortable, cooler in hot weather and warmer in cold weather


2.Energy efficiency: Red Bricks structures because of their thermal dynamism, consumes less energy to modify the temperature when it needs to be modified.


3. Aesthetics: Because of the diverse unique hues of the natural soil used in the production of Red Bricks and their mostly uniform shape, they’re extremely adaptable to nice, complex designs.


5. Cost efficiency: Produced locally, with a natural resource and semi-skilled labour, almost without transport, Red Bricks projects are between 3-7 times less costly than conventional cement bricks projects.

6. Less wasteful: Red Bricks are made to an exact shape and size. They all have perpendicular 90 degree angles at the corners. This makes the designing and cost evaluation of buildings much easier. Regular construction sizes also produce less waste as there are fewer gaps between the components. Material and labour costs are thus reduced as the need for mortar to fill the gaps is decreased.

7. Fire resistant: Unlike conventional bricks, Red Bricks walls take a very long time to burn. This is because compressed earth bricks are so dense that they offer little space for combustion to happen.

8. Sound resistant: Red Brick walls are very good at dampening sounds and so work well near industrial zones, noisy areas, or simply in heavily populated residential areas.
