Each time you browse the web with your various browsers, some annoying toolbars might be accidentally installed knowingly or unknowingly
Toolbars can end up on your computer in various ways. The most common is when you install another piece of software and forget to untick the box for the additional toolbar installation.
Every time you browse the web these toolbars which you don't remember installing keeps annoying you. Well whether you installed it by accident or not, here's a guide on how to remove unwanted toolbars from your browser, including Babylon, iLivid, Yahoo, Ask.com and Snap.do.

How to remove toolbars from Internet Explorer

Open Internet Explorer
Click the cog wheel at the top right and select 'Manage add-ons'.
The Toolbars and Extensions tab is open by default so locate the Toolbar you want to delete and click on the trash icon.

How to remove toolbars from Mozilla Firefox

Open Mozilla Firefox.
Open the menu bar and select Add-ons.
Browse or search the Extensions and Plugin lists for any unwanted toolbars.
Remove or disable any unwanted toolbars.

How to remove toolbars from Mozilla Firefox

Open Chrome.
In Chrome you'll find what looks like a spanner or three horizontal bars in the top right-hand corner of your browser window. Click on this icon and select 'settings'.
Click on Extensions.
Disable or completely delete the unwanted toolbars.

How to remove toolbars from Opera

Open Opera.
Click the Opera in the top left-hand corner, then select Extensions.
Hit Manage Extentions.
Find and delete any toolbars you don't think should be there.

Note: After you've completed the steps restart your browser.

Now after carrying out the following steps, you might still see these toolbars disturb you such as babylon which is very stubborn. Babylon might be a legitimate software but they might carry malwares at times so this is very critical. It's technically not a virus, but it does exhibit plenty of malicious traits, such as rootkit capabilities to hook deep into the operating system, browser hijacking, and in general just interfering with the user experience. The industry generally refers to it as a "PUP," or potentially unwanted program.

How Do I Get Rid Of Babylon Search (Or anyother stubborn unwanted toolbar still disturbing)?

1. Uninstall using Control Panel
If there is an icon for Babylon software in the Windows system tray (next to the clock), right-click and select "Exit" to quit the application. Once it has shut down, open up the Uninstall Programs app under Windows Control Panel and uninstall everything that has a name related to the Babylon Toolbar or Babylon Software. After you have uninstalled the software, you…

2. Remove the toolbar from your Browsers
Now you need to access each web browser's preferences to remove Babylon's add-ons and extensions. You need to do this for any browsers you have installed, ( We already carried out this step..see above for a step by step guide to each.)

3. Remove the Homepage
Babylon Toolbar had overwritten the default Home page with its own URLs. After uninstalling the software and toolbar, you need to reset the browser's Home.

Under Firefox, go back to Tools and select Options. On the General tab, delete search.babylon.com and any other URL listed there. Click "Restore to Default" or freshly type in the new page that should be set as "Home" .

The same option is under Tools > Internet Options on Internet Explorer.

Google Chrome keeps the option under "On Startup" under Chrome (the wrench or 3-bar icon) > Settings. Select the "Open a specific page or set of pages" radio button and then click on the Set pages link. Remove all the links here by clicking the X next to the URL. If you want to set a Home page, manually enter the links afresh after removing everything else. If you don't want to set a Home page, after you have removed all the links, select the "Open the New Tab page" radio button.

4. Remove Browser Cookies
Now you need to clear your browsers cookies to stop Babylon creeping back in. You'll find this option under the sercurity or privacy settings of every browser. We'd also suggest running your antivirus software at this stage, perhaps even installing MalwareBytes AntiMalware to run a secondary scan (it's free and works well with other security software). Finally, restart your PC.

If on restart you find that Babylon re-emerges then do this:
1. Type in the address bar line about:config and press enter.
2. Confirm the pop up warning " I'll be careful, I promise " .
3. In the search field, type "Babylon".
4. Right click on the search results and select reset
5. Also search for browser.newtab.url and right click it . Click reset
6. Restart your Browser.

After these process should be free from babylon search. You cn also try these for other unwanted toolbars like Snap do, iLivid etc.

Hello,
The unwanted toolbar gets installed into the system while you download some software from internet and the toolbar is bundled with that software. It enters into your system and gets installed and after that it spoils the entire performance of your system. Just not worry as there are ways to remove it.
