Wipe Dalvik cache? I wouldn't advice that coz as far as I know, that's where your phone's OS is gangan. When installing custom roms on droid devices, the 4ma OS doesn't go away until I wipe the Dalvik cache.
@Paul: my advice is:
1. Go to phone settings. Check the memory that apps r installed to i.e phone or mem card. Then proceed to choose the location that is freer btw them. Voila!
2. If the prob persists, esp wen u chose phone mem in solution 1 above, try and free it up a li2. My phonetoo dey do like dat somtimz
3. If the above fail, dwld an app like DX toolbox or somtin and use it to scan and delete junk from ur phone.
Above all weda u wanna folo Tomisin's advice or mine, back up ur phone 1st using CWM recovery( ur M5 shld av by now). Btw, I use a Tecno L3 but I'm an Android software specialist.

Thanks man I was thinking the same thing when he advised me to wipe my dalvik cache but the thing is that whenever I free my internal memory up to 476mb I can download any app from my playstore but whenever I stop my connection or the next I wan to download again it complains of the Internal space and my SD card is the default location for instalation and still having up to 1gig free on it so more advice from gurus

I hear you sir, but it won't affect his phone one bit, it will only show android is upgrading while booting and it will clear left overs of moved or uninstalled apps that are still having their cache and data files inside the phone memory but if he won't do that its okay by me and I wish you luck on finding other solutions
