ASUU Calling Off Strike Is A Rumour by familysms: 8:06pm On Nov 02, 2013
ATTENTION ALL: We have
observed a rumour been spread
over the social media that ASUU
strike shall be called off on
Monday November 4 2013. Some
of these rumours disclosed that
President Goodluck Ebele
Jonathan has directed the
Lecturers to resume work next
week.
Please all these are false.
According to ASUU President
Prof. Isa Fagge the union will
never suspend the strike until the
government fulfills it's agreement
with them.
Moreover, the Union has never
disclosed to newsmen that they
had a meeting with President
Jonathan on Friday. Another
thing Nigerians should
understand is that President
Goodluck Jonathan does not
have the right to order ASUU
members back to classroom
because as a registered trade
union, ASUU has the
Constitutional and moral right to
embark on strike.
ASUU leadership has urged
Nigerians to beg the Federal
Government and not the union
because the union WILL NEVER
suspend the strike till the
government fulfills the
agreement it willingly entered
into.
Finally, there is another rumour
that Nnamdi Azikiwe University
will resume next week. Please
that is false. The Authorities of
Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka
has not announced any
resumption date.
Thank you.

Today, i can categorically tell u,and also make bold to say that the man known as prof Isa fagge, is a confirmed boko haram member, he belongs to the political wing of the boko haram, whose aim, is to turn Nigeria into Anarchy, BY FRUSTRATING the youth population, since the guerilla offensive, as well as the political gimmicks of him and his cohorts have employed are failing to achieve their desired aims, it is with this strategic hold to the realms of ASUU, leadership that he is able to capitalize on this to carry out Boko harams main objective, by crippling the educational system, by whatever means necessary, so that the average Nigerian youth becomes as daft and eventually lack reasoning as he and his evil members are.
If we can remember that Boko haram have repeatedly announced that they have loyalist everywhere in Nigeria, and we were so foolish and blind, not to think of this and see these manifestation rather we were looking very far while ignoring this very indicator, it is quite unfortunate that we the youths of this nation continue to sit at home while we are been, short changed, pillaged and used as a tool in the hands of this same Boko haram members who kill dozens of Nigerians everyday and have become so systematic, to kill the dreams and aspirations of 30million young, able bodied Nigerians with the help of unsuspecting but greedy, selfish and self centered Nigerian lecturers, who have at every point refused to see reason with well meaning Nigerians, students as well a governments and even the clergy, to soft pedal, and at least bring about a continuation of academic activities in Nigeria.
its quite unfortunate that the Nigerian lecturers have hoodwinked themselves into giving in to these evil ideologies, and have overnight become prospective millionaires by whatever means necessary, not to bring about the requisite, needed change but to suit their own selfish interest, while those who continue to fan the embers of this evil siege on the future of the Nigerian youth continue to perpetrate this within the comfort of their safe havens, i will like to SHOUT OUT TO ALL WELL MEANING NIGERIAN STUDENT! as you read this post let stand up to say enough is enough! this is the time to stop this! this is the time to save our nation! this is the time to show that we own this nation! this is the time to say no to supposed intellectual slavery, siege, subjugation, and assault! we should begin mobilizing now! to occupy and send a word out to who ever cares that, this NONSENSE MUST STOP! enough is enough by this FEW,who have placed this ransom on us! they think we are helpless, but they shall know that we will break that monopoly which they hitherto think they exert because WE matter most and are ready to go back to LEARN immediately!
This act will go a long way to sound a note of warning! to the opponents of this great nation from now that, the time has come, the youths have risen and we hold our nation dear to our hearts and things must begin to change now. Please let us think about this and act. because i know that i am writing this from a heavy heart, filled with pain and distraught and i know that so many Nigerians youths share this same view with me, but seem helpless, we need to start somewhere now.
LETS JOIN HANDS TO STOP THE NEW FACE OF BOKO HARAM!---------Kimakazee (fullbird87@gmail.com)

One question that baffles me is that why haven't our bishops and pastors we troop to pay homage via tithes and offering made any comment or condemn the strike as well as the actions of both ASSU and FG to find a solution.

I have come to understand clearly that the strike have been hijacked by some greedy goons in Nigeria.

My question for ASUU is;

Why are they allowing the universities to conduct post UTME screening, sales of Pre-degree, PostGraduate and all other forms inspite of the ongoin strike?

Is the VC no longer under ASUU? Or are they allowed to collect money from prospective students while claiming to be on strike? If yes, can ASUU BOLDLY tell the public that they are on strike?

If ASUU is agitating for a better welfare package for all the unions in our university, it would have been understandable. But asking for a FULL implementation of that 2009 agreement as a condition for the strike to be called off x-rays magnitude of selfishness.

I think ASUU have just proved beyond every reasonable doubt that they are the MOST corrupt, greedy, evil, wicked and self-centered union we have in our university system.

One Love!
