Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) and Virtual Reality programming (VRP) is the future of progressive movie industries. Virtually all top movie producing countries are into the use of CGI and VR to minimise production costs i.e. China, USA, India, Korea and even Malaysia. This is only a dream in Nigeria where charlatans in the name of businessmen have no future plans for the movie industry known as Nollyypako.

Don't be in a hurry to compare with Nigerian movies

A basic VFX could be done by a 2nd year student doing Animation

The problem
1. Nigerian Movie Market is not targeted towards Visual Effects. If you look at the age of people who watch Nigerian Movies you find out that they are not concerned with how crappy the movie looks and VFX might put them off.

2. As a director, why pay for expensive Visual Effects when 51 Iweka road will illegally make thousands of copies of your movie and make a profit on your head

3. Older Generation prefer crappy movies because they can easily relate to that

No offence directed or given
When ever we are ready, I know someone who could do a great VFX

At the bolded, which university is offering VRP or VFX in Nigeria? Pray, tell me....
If you wanna be an extraordinaire VR programmer, I think Japan or China is the best place to go for studies...It's actually more indepth in Japan than China though. Like you said, the Nigerian movie industry isn't moving in this direction very soon...the demand for VFX is low 'cos we love our religious and fetish movie settings for now. I was thinking, how about somebody shooting a full-scale VFX-based movie centred around the collapse of third mainland bridge (3mb). Tragedy movies like that might make a great sell in Nigeria...

Hugo:

I especially loved this flick cuz it was so refreshing to see Martin Scoresese making an effects-laden fantasy film - A notable deviation from his usual gangster/crime films like Good Fellas, Gangs of New York, Departed, etc.

Pirates of The Caribbean:
