Hello What type of snack you suggest to bring along to an multicultural gathering from your Country? We enrolled for "salty Nigerian snack". We were thinking about Akara, Meatpies, Jollof rice, but we are still undecided. Last year we brought Akara and MoyinMoyin, while the Akara went like hotcakes the MoyinMoyin weren't that popular. Any suggestion welcome, especially quick and easy recipes since this year we don't have a lot of time to prepare. Thank you! |

Viazi karai (Fried potatoes dipped in wheat flour) Ingrediends: 2 Big potatoes, boiled and unpeeled Salt Wheat flour Corriander leaves(optional) Yellow food colouring Method: Peel the boiled potatoes gently, without breaking them. Cut them into four to five pieces. Put the flour in a dish and add water, a little at a time while mixing until it becomes a reasonably thick paste. Add a little food colouring and salt then stir the contents. Heat some cooking oil in a deep pan. Deep the potato pieces in the wheat paste then put in the hot oil to fry. Fry for about five to seven minutes. Remove from heat with a spoon and place in dish that will drain any dripping oil. Make pepper sauce with lemon or lime to go with the potatoes Serve with cold fruit juice or tea
