This is majorly for those with BOSIET certificates. Share your experience how it has helped you in getting a Job Offshore (either deepwater or shallow waters).

Its being done by a few training outfit, but the main ish is that it must be OPITO certified. Did mine @ Falck Prime Atlantic, Iparra, Ogun state.. But their booking office is on the Island.

BOSIET in itself will not help you get a job. I have dealt with this issue before.
BOSIET is just a certification that enables personnel to work offshore and it is renewed every 4 - 5 years (can't remember the exact year). It's a safety pass for anyone going offshore for whatever reason.
I will not advise anyone to spend money obtaining the certification. Make better use of your money. Any company that has business in offshore operations will sponsor its personnel for the training.

Yeah, X-fire is right in a way. But if you are planning to work for a sub-contractor/sub sub-contractor offshore, then it would help you better cos I know those guys don't sponsor all their staff for bosiet.
Its validity is 4 years, and it costs 2250 dollars as at last year..
