A former Head of State Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, on Wednesday
told the leadership of the All Progressives Congress that he could not
be wooed to join the party as he had never been a politician.
He made this disclosure when the leadership of the APC visited him in
Minna, Niger State.

Abubakar while speaking to newsmen after his meeting with the APC
leadership said, “I am not a politician, I am not a partisan politician
and I don’t need to be wooed.

“The APC leaders came to brief me on the amalgamation of the new
party, how they are doing, how far they have gone and how things are
moving. I have given them my dose of advice.”

He added that Nigerians should be allowed to exercise their right by
joining any party of their choice, urging them to do what is right for
their party.

Abdulsalami said, “Whether you are in opposition or in government,
you are serving the country. So whatever role any party finds itself,
they should play that role very well.”

Also, a former military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida said his
door was always open to anyone that comes to consult with him on
how to move the nation forward.

“I said Nigeria first before PDP. Nigeria is bigger than PDP. They
came to talk about Nigeria and how to move the nation forward.
“The APC leaders visited me to discuss the welfare of the country
which should be the responsibility of every Nigerian whether you
belong to a party or you do not have a party, you have an assignment
to protect the integrity of the country.

“People who come to talk about Nigeria and the way forward will
always be welcomed by me. We have to find a way forward for this
generation, what we are doing is for this generation,” he said.
The Natoinal Leader of APC, Chief Bisi Akande said they were in the
state to consult with the former leaders.

“We need to pick the brains of former rulers in this country in order to
be wiser than we were before we came here. We will continue with the
consultations until we have visited and consulted with all the wise
men in Nigeria,” he said.

Among a former governor of Lagos State, include, Akande, Chief Bola
Ahmed Tinubu, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and a former Speaker of the
House of Representatives, Aminu Masari.

Buhari frolicking with criminals and ex convicts because of political power, this is worse than the alliance of capitalist and communists during the biafra war because of oil power, Jonathan please make this political war drag long enough till Buhari retires from politics at 75 and APC will go where the belong as a tribsl party looking for a way to brainwash and bavk stab other nigerians

And these are the bandits some people claim will fight corruption more than GEJ if elected? APC (Tinubu/Buhari) plus IBB is synonymous to corruption plus corruption and the result is CATASTROPHE.

And you would have thought that APC would use the opportunity of been a brand new party to create for itself an image that is devoid of what it constantly derides..

But all I have seen the party do is move from state to state begging PDP members to come and help it form a party. What selling point would they now have since most of thier members would be PDP. How are they going to tell Nigeria that the problem of the country is PDP?

I want a strong opposition, not a loud mouthed, noise making one with no plans whatsoever to uplift this country. The only plan I see is a desire to take Aso Rock.
