The year has come to an end. We have about 6 weeks to the end of this year. The rate at which companies are springing up at this time of the year is quite. Most people are putting finishing touches to their ideas which they hope to launch next year. That is why there is always business for web designers at the beginning of the year.
One thing you may have noticed as the year is ending is that people are buying things, and many people are bringing in things to the country for sale. As web designers we can offer our services to these ones.
We can partner with them for online sales of their products. While some might want to pay fully for the online store, most would prefer to partner.
What should we do?
1., Look for about 5 stores selling consumer goods around you
2., Propose the online store to them (they should only pay for hosting, and give you the pictures)
3., Build the store asap and publicize on social media, ask the store owner to do same and encourage his friends and employees to do same.
4., Insert an absolute position div at a conspicuous portion on the site, with a 'call to order' function having your name number.
5., Customers call you to make orders, you then call the store to make deliveries (you track sales with this)
6., You earn a commission (as agreed) on each item sold through the website.

If you are selling about 15 items per week per store at #1000 commission per item, I am quite sure you should meet the 250k mark or thereabout.
You can work towards maintaining this working relationship throughout next year, with a little increment from time to time you should be settled all through 2014.

This should work better for my web design brothers/sisters in the major cities. cheers
