whatever the speaker of the osun houses of assembly, hon. Najeem salaam, told the enraged Muslim cleric to pacify them about 3 weeks ago,it certainly didn't get to them.As at the time I'm writing this, pandemonium is still on in the local government area of ejigbo.

It all started when dissatisfied Islamic clerics stormed the Baptist High school, ejigbo, stirring no little concerns. within the space of 15 minutes, the fight was on.What the clerics want?, freedom to wear hijab for their children, while the Baptists maintain their stance that the school is a Christian school.
unconfirmed reports claim that the school principal had flogged a student for using Abusive words on a fellow student. the flogged student went home and told her mother that she had been flogged for wearing the hijab, the enraged mother went to their local mosque and the rest Is history. reports claim the principal had been tied up and beaten, while enraged students pelted the clerics with stones, even as the later retaliated with the same.

Osun state is simply improving the standard of education by merging schools tongue
.....But seriously, If it must be merged then muslims should be allowed to wear their hijab!
I attended st louis nur/pry schl kano,a renowed catholic school and the muslims were allowed to wear hijab thou most don't wear(simply their own choice).
I didn't attend the second sch which was all girls but I know the girls both christians and muslim cover their hair.

All religious activities and cultures should be cancelled in primary and secondary schools. Anyone that wants to practise any religion should do that at home!

This kind of issue affected our mentality in primary school when my school(pearl prep. school), a christian school and its neighbour(infant academy), a muslim school with hijab very loathed ourselves for no reason but for the religious mentality. We did fight almost every closing hours!

It's quite unfortunate this is happening in Osun state. I hope both sides and the warring factions reach a compromise soon.

Update from the town:the situation is becoming more tense as the racialists beat more people up.the Islamic clerics have stated their intentions ,complete with Barners and pamphlets, encouraging Muslims to stand up for their 'rights '.The royal leader, Obama omowonuola oyesosin, has reacted strongly, coming to the center of events, ejigbo Baptist high school, to try to calm things down.his attempts have been rather ineffective though, as he was reported to have returned to his palace seething with Anger. He has been reliably reported to have called the disposition of the local imam into question, asking why he didn't even say or do anything, and also what the imam meant when he said 'nobody has died'
